Wang is more or less to be used as a hit and run character. He has a number of attacks that have delay-able strings, thus confusing or always having your opponent guessing to when you decide to finish his strings, if at all. Wang has a good variety of safe low hits, and excels at chipping your opponents health down, causing them to become careless until they make a mistake, in which Wang can punish with a large variety of decent mids.
What Wang does seem to lack, is powerful punishment attacks. Wang also suffers from lack of launching abilities, making juggles generally rare within his match ups. He has no while standing launchers, however he does have a hopkick, as well as a magic 4 that compliments him well, and are considered his best juggle starters ( parries as well ). His other main juggle starters being d,f +2,1 ( 15 frames ) and d+1+2 (20 frames). On counter Wang can also juggle with his d+4,1 string, however this is launch punishable on block.
To use Wang effectively you must take advantage of his safe low and mid game to chip away at your opponent. Because of his low stature and hit box, whiffing can sometimes be easier with Wang, allowing you to punish your opponent accordingly. One of Wang's best moves is a throw called Waning Moon ( WM ). If done properly this can lead to an automatic juggle, turning this throw into the most powerful in the Tekken series.
Wang also has arguably the best parry system in Tekken. Knowing your opponents strings and being able to read him is crucial to using this effectively. From his b+1 parry stance Wang can mix up with wall splat maneuvers as well as juggles. His parry system works on almost every attack in the game, including Tag Crashes. The downside is Wang cannot block when the parry stance is activated ( 7 - 10 frames ), resulting in damage that can be easily avoided if just blocked instead. Make no mistake, using Wang's parry stance can confuse your opponent and throw him off his game if used right but nonetheless use with caution.
