Yes but if you just leave HAZ out there, people will hit you with a few other things.

HAZ3 is just the fastest option that gives the most damage on CH.

Sure, just pointing out that jabs can’t hurt 1,2~HAZ anyway.

I tend to delay the attacks from HAZ when I’m not punished for doing so, and when I see a high coming as a response, I let it go over HAZ and whiff punish with HAZ 1.

I understand that, but anything other than a jab (any mid, really) after 1,2~HAZ just kills you.

It can be a tricky scenario but if you train yourself on how to react to it, it’s doable.

Only use for 12~HAZ that is reliable/legitimately useful is to blow up power crush moves that are high after activating them with jabs. Works like a charm.

what are you guys using to follow up ff4 on hit?

Edit: also how are you following up combos that end with ff4 in the open?

What do you mean by followup? There’s nothing guaranteed after f,f+4 as they can tech when they hit the ground. You’re pretty free to run up and do anything. After I end with f,f+4 in the open I either fc dash, run up then do qcf mixups, or run up u/f+3_d/b+3_d/b+4. Both situations are pretty open.

@DYNA$TY sorry, I’m a brand new ass raven player. I know there is nothing guaranteed after ff4, but what do you do against opponents who tend to tech roll after getting hit by it? or quick stand? or side roll_get up kick etc. If you are just dashing up and going for mix ups, what are you mixing up? qcf2_qcf2,b? FCdf3+4_WS2_uf4? etc.

I watch a lot of videos and spend a lot of time in practice mode, but I want to get a sense of what works for other people too. I hope that helps clarify my question. I appreciate the feedback

I usually go for fc mixups, cd (qcf) mixups, or u/f+3_d/b+3_d/b+4 if they tech or stand up. u/f+3 stuffs get up kicks.

@Dynasty sorry for the late reply, thanks for the tips!

real quick, what are you guys doing after ws 2 on normal hit? I feel like if I run up to pressure, I either get clipped coming in with some fast CH move/hopkick or I get backdashed/backswing blow and whiff punished. Do I just have to give up the pressure and start again? I appreciate the feedback.
