If it stops working after being plugged in for about 8 minutes, then you probably have to re-flash the firmware. etokki sticks have the Brook boards in them, and those need to be flashed occasionally.

I use a balltop, but i mainly use kazumi, not sure if she will count and she is not as complex a character as kazuya or heihachi.

Depends on what you're going for!

I think Korean levers with bat tops are pretty intimidating, because holy cow, this person cares enough to have a K-stick. (badass Mishima examples: top Koreans, Kodee in the US.)

If you want to be able to comfortably play on other people's sticks in the US, Japanese lever with a balltop. This is also optimal if you make it to an arcade, either here or in Japan.

If you don't want anybody to be able to play on your stick and you want to suck when you have to play on somebody else's stick, but you want your electrics on point and good movement and you're OK with people talking shit sometimes -- hitbox!

If you don't want to spend money on more input devices, pad works great. Just the default PS4 pad is super nice, trufax. And lots of great players play pad. (for example, Harry Potter from Italy is 50 times better at Mishimas than either of us, guaranteed, and he plays pad)

I've just bought a QanBa Q4 RAF, hoping to get more precision when inputting diagonal commands.

Sadly, I'm not finding this to be the case. Since there are just four switches (that might be absolutely normal, I'm not arguing against it) it's much too easy to have mixed directions when trying to get a diagonal input. Say I want to do db, it comes out as d, db, obviously messing up whatever I had in mind.

Is this something that could be remedied with an octagonal "guide" instead of the square one this has got?

I was used to the PS1/2/3 pad, now I'm playing on PC and I was using the XB1 pad but I still had problems with diagonals, so I thought to invest some money. Maybe I'm just not good enough (quite likely, actually). But it's really irritating knowing the moves, even simple moves after all, and not being able to follow up on my gameplan because of frequent misinputs.

Thanks for your help. I'm honestly thinking about sending this back.

Hi welcome!

It sounds like you've got some pretty good insights into the situation. Joystick levers in general have four switches; that's going to be the case with any stick you buy. You might like using an octagonal gate -- I find that it makes hitting the diagonals a little more accurate. Thankfully, they're inexpensive and super easy to install.

Switching to stick takes time; it's going to be weeks at least before you're as comfortable on stick as you were on a PS3 pad.

If you decide that switching to stick isn't worth it -- and it's probably only worth it if it makes you feel cool -- PS4 pad apparently works on PC.

Hello! I'm trying to see if anyone knows or has experience with swapping out the joystick for a qanba drone. I want to switch that joystick for a myoungshin Fanta joystick.

Hi! I'm new to TZ. I'll be getting the HORI RAP N this week end. one of the reasons would be the modding options. the other reason would be that it is the same stick Book, a great Jin user from Thailand, is using care for any feedback on hori rap n? should I look at other options?

Hi! I need help regarding to fightstick, i just bought a razer panthera evo stick, at first is still good, manage to do some wavedash or backdash then i notice that every time i press d/f it alway comes out "f" first before d/f. i figure in practice mode when i press or tap d/f it release as "f,f,d/f,d/f"... it so frustrating while playing it, so i fix the tp-ma pcb and still same problem. I bought a new pcb comes out the same problem.

Need some advice, thank you in advance.

I've owned an obsidian joystick for like a year now. It is my first stick and i'm very happy i've made the switch from pad.
But i can't help but wondering what playing with a korean lever would feel like. I know there are 3 types of korean levers: crown, taeyoung and myoungshin.
My question is: which of those can be inserted in an obsidian without any drilling?

I've looked around the web and some say it's possible with the crown, but others say you still need to do some light drilling

Can anyone clarify this? Thanks
