OK, Tiexandrea has suggested that I create a "Best of Tekken Zaibatsu Fan Fiction" sort of thread. What this means is that you, the reader who was kind enough to click to the Fan Fiction Depot, will nominate a fanfiction that will then be immortalized in this thread. Be warned, there are certain rules that apply.

1. The fanfiction must be COMPLETED. I know there are some kick-ass fics out there that are still waiting to be finished up, but you've probably come here to read a full story, and not just something half-way there.

2. The fanction must exist as a TZ thread. I know this might seem odd, but since this is Tekken Zaibatsu's FFD, we might as well keep it that way.

Before I shamelessly plug my own fanfiction and boost my ego, I think I'll let you guys nominate some fics.

I'd like to kick things off by nominating...

Cold Blood by Kung Fu Kid. This is a Kazuya story that takes place shortly before, during, and shortly after the 4th King of Iron Fist tournament. Read on as we witness Kazuya struggle to return to his former glory taken from him by being thrown in a volcano!

Morning Rain by Enkida. Perhaps one of the most interesting takes on Xiaoyu I have ever seen, and also one of the best-written fanfictions of its kind. With her close friend Heihachi dead and Jin losing his mind to the forces of darkness, Xiaoyu is forced to go through the King of Iron Fist Touranment 5 with only her friends to aid her.

Breaking the Fourth Wall by Tiexandrea. The term "breaking the fourth wall" in theatre generally means when a character is showing his/her awareness of the audience. Here, we witness Lei Wulong the real-life personality embark on a bloody quest to prove to the world the true power of his five-form Kung Fu that Namco has toned down significantly with their Tekken entries. The term "creative" doesn't begin to describe what this story brings to the table.

The King of Iron Fist Tournament 6 by Psychoblue. Since this was made back in 2005, this takes place in an alternate universe where Wang Jinrei, and not Jin Kazama, won the fifth tournament.

Tekkenshu Sentai Shinkenger by Psychoblue. Sequel to the King of Iron Fist Tournament 6, Giving the Tekken universe a Tokusatsu twist, witness the tale of the Tekkenshu Sentai Shinkenger unfold!

The Kazama-Mishima Connections by Gwendy85. This is the first part of a trio of fanfics by one of the most popular authors the Tekken fandom has known. The Kazama-Mishima Connections sparked a whole new kind of controversy amongst the fanfiction community. As the name might imply, the Mishimas and Kazamas are the focus of the story: read on to see what happens!

The Kazama-Mishima Connections 2 by Gwendy85. Sequel to the fic above. Realizing she has been played for a fool, Jun confronts her "masters" in an attempt to learn the truth. Meanwhile, Kazuya and Jin do some investigating of their own...

The Kazama-Mishima Connections 3 by Gwendy85. The final entry in the the KMC trilogy, Kazuya and his offspring continue their hunt for Jun and prepare to combat an old but powerful enemy...one that Jin is quite familiar with.

Fatal Instinct by Thunderxtw. A rare Anna fic from a truly amazing storyteller. A tale of espoinage and intrigue that makes you want to get a bowl of popcorn ready when you read!

Fatal Instinct 2 by Thunderxtw. The sequel to the original Fatal Instinct, Anna suits up for another thrilling adventure!


Untold Story 1: Gifts of Death by Junking. Peter is your semi-average teenager who's just trying to make it through high school alive, but when a tragic car accident befalls his parents, he decides to enter the King of Iron Fist Tournament 3 to win enough money to save them. What starts out as a nerve wracking experience for Peter, turns into an impromptu journey of self-discovery...

The Untold Story 2: King's Revenge by JunKing. Sequel to the first Untold Story, this time the focus is on the Mexican wrestler King, who goes off on a mission to avenge his fallen master Armor King by hunting down Craig Marduk.

Although the people and fanfics listed above will forever be engraved via a sticky, truth be told, there are countless of other fanfics in this place that are so awesome, and yet, unfortunately, they were abandoned halfway and were never given a chance to finish. Therefore, technically, they won't be in the 'Editor's Choice' list...

- In this, topics are arranged by Reply Count. In other words, fanfics up top are those which have the most people dropping by to post a "nice fanfic" message or something of the sort. Theoretically, great fanfics are those with the most people cheering for it, right?

FFD - Topics arranged by Thread Starter in Ascending (A to Z) Order
FFD - Topics arranged by Thread Starter in Descending (Z to A) Order
- In these, topics are arranged by Thread Starter. These are especially useful for hunting down other fanfics made by the same person.

Again, I didn't want to sound arrogant. Nominating yourself for something like this is the cyber-equivalent of striking a Randy Orton pose in someone's face.

Since you brought it up though, it's fair game.

Junking pretty much has no more internet access and we talk a lot offline and we decided to nominate each others stories. So, I'm nominating Untold Story 2: King's Revenge and Junking is nominating Fatal Instinct.

I haven't put up Untold Story 1 yet because I haven't read it yet: I went straight to the second one when I first saw it those years ago.

I'm back after a long hiatus. There's some stories I'd love to nominate but they're not finished.

I see you changed the summaries only a tad. Reading your summary, I still wouldn't be able to understand what your story is about, and once again nobody here other than you probably knows what "Tokusatsu" means. You can't expect everyone to know Japanese, especially when it isn't their native language.

Another thing that kinda bugs me is a part of the summary to your Tekken 6 story. I understand you're proud of your first fic. That's cool and all, but you don't have to brag about how popular it is. It makes you sound really conceited.

Secondly, the list says you haven't updated the summaries since November. Dude, that was last year. If you read these stories, coming up with a decent summary shouldn't take you less than a minute, not months.

I've also been ridiculously busy with schoolwork, and just last Monday my computer died and the reason I am typing this now is because I am using a public computer. I appreciate your concern, and the fact that you genuinely care about the well-being of this forum, but please do not tell me how to do my job.

I got some time to swing by here after a few months. Having barely any internet access sucks. *Sigh* I won't even get into this due to the fact that I'm in a terribly ultra depressed mood, so I just decided to post my own summaries for my nominations. Here they go:

With the coming closure of Tekken Zaibatsu, I guess it's time to personally archive some of the stories here that I want to someday read again. Thank you very much for everything, everyone. Particularly Psychoblue, who held the fort for so long.

Not only did Tekken come up with Sentai costumes, they even crossed over with several other franchises.

I didn't expect Street Fighter to be the one that did the actual Rangers crossover but there you go.
