Zafina in Tekken 7

Do you guys wish Zafina will be in Tekken 7? If so, let's talk about it. They can totally make her a solid character by making her more safe. Not expecting for her to be safe as Nina but not ridiculously unsafe as she is now. I get that she can go under a lot of mids and mids tend to wiff on her but that shouldn't merit her to get fucked up after poking when both blocked or not blocked.

I hope she'll be in T7, but at the same time I won't exactly be surprised if they don't bring her back.

She definitely needs to be made safer (why is fc df3 death on block when Leo pretty much has the exact same move?, why is d1 -16) but if anything needs to be buffed it's her stances imo. I don't see the point in creating a stance character and making said stances have limited (or very limited) use which forces her to use her average to below average pokes.

When I first saw the new Kirimomi mechanic I was thinking of how it could be applied to Zaf and originally thought she wouldn't fit well, but after thinking I believe she could adapt to it pretty well as it opens up new potential combo enders because of the knock back K! moves do like (d2)4,3 or (d2)4 into MNT/TRT, uf1+2, ff3+4, (2)1,3 (if they're close), (2)2,1+2 (maybe).

I imagine her K! moves would be: df4,1, f2,3,4, df1,4 and maybe df3,4. Maybe even some stance moves/strings like MNT 2,1,4 could be give K! properties.

f1+2 would be pretty good shoe in for her Power Crush move as well.

it would make sence if her df1,4 and her ff2 would be K! they could make her MNT d1,4 another K! making her db1+2, CH MNT 3, CH MNT d3,1 and CH SCR df4 a juggle starter... that would be a really good buff.
also giving her 1+2 and/or ff3 the same animation has hei t7 df1,2 would be cool.

I would be very happy if this things happened if she is in t7

Unfortunately, I think she won't be in Tekken 7 at all, which is quite sad to see. Zafina is an appealing character overall and her fighting style looks cool and kinda fancy. I just don't see why she's so unsafe and why she has very very limited stances. I'd like her to make an appearence on Tekken 7 but it's highly unlikely.

Zafina a unique character and I don't see why Harada would remove a unique character such as her. It's not confirmed that she's not in T7, so let's avoid saying she not in T7 like I see people do with other chars. Whose to say Zafina won't be called again for the Mishimas final battle to help save the world? It's really dumb to drop her.

I would like to see a much safer Zafina myself and better offense starting pokes. I hate relying on d3 and her slow Db 3 as tools for offense and what's the point of Db 3 going into stance when you can't apply a mix up? She need more moves in Trt that tracks, and more tracking tools in Mnt. Secondly her risk is unreasonable for little reward, it's not fair that her df 12 could be launched if I don't commit to a 2 and the CH 2 doesn't even grant a combo. Zafina feel like a very heavy char 1 vs 1 to start offense.

Better tracking in TRT and MNT, fair risk/reward, more offense starting pokes and a safer character and she could be a very solid char.

I would like to see like when you are in SCR and you press d you go into MNT and if you press d in MNT you go into TRT or u and you go to SCR again... it would be cool

I'd like for Zafina's d+1,1 to become a natural combo. It would make it x10 better as a punisher and and a panic move. They can even remove the knockdown from the last hit if they worry about it being too overpowered.

I'd also love for an option to get up in TRT when FCD in both directions. I honestly cannot explain how many times I've been able to escape hairy situations because of TRT. It would be great to set up 50/50s with too.

Some other stuff would be SCR+3,3,4 getting a cancel similar to 2,1,3; SCR d+3,3 getting a mid ended instead of high; and a revamp to 2,2,1+2, and d+4,3 because those two moves are virtually useless.

Other than that make her safer, sprinkle a little more tracking, and make kicks into SCR a little better.

Honestly I'd rather have them completely remove the high in SCR d3,3 and just make SCR d3,d3 NC.

I don't know if I'd agree with removing 2,2,1+2 since it at least has some use as a TA filler, a combo ender, and as an occasional string to use against an unfamiliar player, but yeah d4,3 is fucking ass and needs to go. I wouldn't even revamp it, just completely scrap the move and give her a generic d4.

As for TRT I feel like they need to make the stance options extremely good (with bnb mixup being with TRT 1 and TRT 3) for how little she's actually in the stance and for how easy it is to avoid.

For example: TRT d1+2 should give the same mini combo as db1+2 to at least somewhat justify it being launch punishable, TRT 1+2 should be safe, TRT 1 should be sped up to about i12 and KND on NH, TRT 3 should recover faster on block. Maybe make TRT 4,3 HCable? I dunno what to really do with that string.

I would probably remove TRT 2. I mean having a safe launcher is cool and all, but when it's i32 you're not gonna hit anybody with it and you're definitely not gonna whiff punish anything with it. It can barely punish raw tags in TTT2. Maybe give her a low command grab like 2:1+2 or something? Speed it up? Let her cancel it into FC? I dunno, but TRT 2 in it's current state isn't that good imo.

I agree with you on TRT 2. I've rarely if ever hit that move as much as I like the idea of it. I didn't know you could use 2,2,1+2 as a filler/combo ender though. Do you have any examples because it sounds pretty cool to use.

It really depends on your team comp. if 2,2,1+2 would be best (it's best used at the wall), but some examples:

True Ogre/Zaf: W!, df3,2 B! (TA 2,2,1+2) 1+2,1+2,1+2
Ganryu/Zaf: W!, b4,1 B! (TA 2,2,1+2) df1+2,1

In the open you can do things like:

AO/Zaf: [Launch], 3,2, d1, B! (TA 2,2,1+2) uf1+2

Solo wise I've found it best used as a low parry ender

EX: Low parry, uf1, 1, 2,2,1+2

I just figured it out. I have been using it with Anna and the results are pretty nice. 2,2,1+2 to Anna's qcf2,1 does a bit more damage then what I was originally using.

Zafina should be added in Tekken 7. Whatever story they have to make her fit ,they should do it. I know that shaheen is in the game I don't know if he represents the same organization that she comes from but she should be in the game as well.

I think that Zafina will be the next reveal. Since Tekken 3, new, non-boss characters have always showed up in the next cannon game. I have a hard time believing that the final character reveal is...bears.

Things I would like to see

df+3,4 to have an optional transition into MNT
TRT to have a sideroll like AOP 1+3d and 2+4d
Fast safe move mid that ends TRT
Move that goes from MNT to SCR
A low move from BT MNT
f+1+2 to be safe
b+4,4 to have a cancel into MNT like b+4,4~d
ws4 should have a meatier hitbox and have more +frames on hit.
A safe, mid knee.
df+1+2 to be safe or have a cancel.
A homing move from TRT
Unblockable should have a cancel
Another command throw, preferable bufferable like Capos or Raven
FCdf+2 to be a mid launcher from fullcrouch similar to king FCdf+2
A delayed hopkick
b+3 to have an option transition to MNT
MNT to have a forward roll or another quick forward movement
Signature An ounce of practice is generally worth more than a ton of theory.
