Welcome to the search for Gigas preparation session with Katarina Alves! Here is where we train extra hard recycling and revamping old moves and new moves to find that creature who saved my life... after first trying to kill me... I've always been a fan of the Katarina and her fighting style upon the Tekken 7 release and new entry in the Iron Fist Tournament. I've always wanted to be a game graphic designer since I was young lol. As a new character, Katarina seems to lack a bit in the moves and mix ups department and could use a small bit of touching up. STANDING SPECIAL ATTACKS AND STANDING SPECIAL STRINGS


f+2,2 - The new command for df+2,2 (Nest Crasher). The damage of the first hit has been nerfed from 17 points to 16 points. The damage of the second hit has been nerfed from 21 points to 20 points.

f+2,4 - The new command of df+2,4 (Nest Wrecker). The damage of the second hit is buffed from 17 points to 18 points. The hit frame has been nerfed from +18KG to +14KG. The second hit now screw launches on counter hit. The second hit now also tracks side step left. The block frame has been nerfed from +1 to -3 with pushback.

f+4 - This now high crushes at 6f.

f+1+2 - The startup frame has been buffed from 23f to 17f.

df+2 - This is changed to become a 16f launching uppercut that high crushes and launches crouching opponents on natural hit. The animation is the same as the regular WS+1 animation before change below done with the opposite hand and a high crushing step in startup. The damage is 16 points. The range is 1.5 back dashes. The block frame is -12.

df+3,3,3 - The second hit and up is changed to the last two hits of the regular 4,4,4,4,4 (Nimble Cutter) before the removal of the last two hits below done with the opposite leg following after the first hit as a string. The second hit impact speed is the same as the regular df+3,3 (Wagtail) before removal. The first still requires counter hit to combo with the second hit. The damage of the second hit has been nerfed from 21 points to 18 points. The last two hits are still a natural hit combo. The last hit is still a wall bounce. The block frame is still -9. The second hit of the regular df+3,3 has been removed from here and given to HAR+4 below.

df+3,4 - The regular kick from 1,1,4 (Goose Punch Combo) before I removed it below placed here following after the first hit as a new mid mix up. Both the second hit impact speed and impact range are the same as the second hit of the new df+3,3,3 above. This is a counter hit combo. The second hit no longer hits grounded. The block frame is buffed from -19 to -14 by decreasing five recovery frames on Katarina and not by increasing five recovery frames on the opponent. This faster recovery animation also allows more juggle follow up options.

df+4 - The damage has been buffed from 17 points to 18 points.

df+1+2 - This is changed to be a new shoulder. The animation is just like Dragunov's WS+1+2 (Frost tackle) but with the opposite shoulder. The startup frame is 13f. This has a very short high crush frame during startup. The range is one and half back dashes. The damage is 30 points. The block frame is -16 with pushback. The new command for the regular df+1+2 (Phoenix Kick Flurry) double arm grab is now uf+1+2 below. I think Kat having a shoulder looks badass and fits as she has a savage headbutt f+1+2 (Drumming).

df+3+4 - The damage has been buffed from 21 points to 24 points like FC+df+4 (Short Tail). The hit frame has been buffed from +1 to +2. The consistent startup gasp/grunt sound cue is changed from being done during the beginning startup of attack to being done during the strike of attack like how it's done for Nina's db+2 (Right Backhand Body Blow) which is fair since this low is already very slow. The recovery animation after hit has been changed to be done exactly like FC,df+4 (Short Tail) rotating back the opposite way for a more stylish recovery animation. Reaction of opponent on hit is made to be the same as FC,df+4 (Short Tail).

d+1 - The hit frame is buffed from +3 to +7. The block frame is buffed from -7 to -3.

d+2 - The startup frame is buffed from 20f to 17f.

d+3 - The block frame has been nerfed from -11 to -14. The short frame window to delay following extensions has been removed.

d+3,3 - The damage of the last hit is nerfed from 18 points to 16 points. The hit frames are buffed from neutral to +2. The block frame has been buffed from -13 to -11 swapping frames between d+3 alone and this extension since d+3 has following extensions. Leroy's d+4,4 (Razor Kick to Hermit) string is identical to Katarina's d+3,3 done with the opposite leg and his frames between the first hit change above and second hit change here are balanced the same way as Leroy's. This is also fair as Anna's and Nina's d+3,2 (Left Spin Low to Right Uppercut) string is a 16f counter hit combo with the first hit high crushing, the second hit launching on natural hit and more range on both hits with the block frame of -13.

d+3,F - A new Harrier cancel following after this low leading to great plus frames on hit and greatly decreased negative frames on block. Katarina's first low to Harrier cancel.

d+4,1 - A new extension with the second hit being a left handed version of the second hit of her 2,2 (Feather Fury) string. The second hit is high and this new string is something identical to both the Williams d+4,1 (Low Kick Spin Punch) string. The impact speeds are the same as 2,2. The damage of the second hit is 20 points. The second hit wall splat spins and screws airborne. The hit frame is +10kg. This is a counter hit combo. This does not have the ability to be delayed. Useful in juggles. The block frame is -12. The second hit can be ducked and launch punished. This is also able to be done with the command of FC+db/d+4,1 below.

d+3+4 - Reverted back to it's regular hit affect on grounded opponents.

db+3 - The knockdown has been changed to the same knockdown of HAR+3 (Palmate Spin) giving guaranteed ub+4 (Lower Axis). These are fair buffs making this heavy low more useful and unique from db+4 (Slipping Tail).

db+4 - The startup frame is nerfed from 29f to 30f.

b+1 - This is turned into a 14f, homing high that wall splat spins and screws airborne. The animation is a counter clockwise spinning left hand chop, something similar to Anna's old f,f+2 (Executioner) animation before it's animation change in Tekken 5 DR but done with the opposite hand. The range two back dashes. The damage is 20 points. The hit frame is +12KG. The block frame is -3 with pushback. The regular b+1 (Inside Peck) and it's extensions have been removed and used in other places.

b+3 - The damage has been nerfed from 17 points to 16 points. Counter hit no longer has knockdown. The hit frame for both natural hit and counter hit is now +6.

b+4 - The damage has been nerfed from 17 points to 16 points. This no longer counter hit launches. The block frame has been buffed from -15 to -13 adding two slower recovery frames on the opponent and not three faster recovery frames on Katarina. This makes open frames window between this and it's extensions on block two frames shorter.

b+4,3+4 - The second hit is changed to no longer knockdown but to put opponent in FC making the third hit on hit slam opponent grounded face down head towards. The damage of the second hit is buffed from 3 points to 4 points of damage. The damage of the third hit is buffed from 17 points to 18 points. The knockdown frame of third hit is buffed from +3 to +5 giving ub+4 (Lower Axis) guaranteed.

b+4,F - A new Harrier cancel following after this mid with greatly increased plus frames on hit and greatly decreased negative frames on block.

b+3+4 - Tracking to the right has been greatly increased.

ub\u+3 - This has been changed to the last hit of the regular 1,1,3 (Albatross Punch Combo) string before removal below. The startup frame is 25f. The low crush frame is 9f. The hit properties have been changed to launch on natural hit like Josie's ub/u/uf+3 (Butterfly Edge). Both ub+4 and u+4 are the same with slight movement ahead and the impact range is slightly above one back dash. The block frame is nerfed from neutral with forced FC to -9 without forced FC. The new command of the regular ub/u+3 (Flying Bird) is now ub/u+3+4 below.

ub+4 - This move has been fixed to automatically realign axis when off axis, especially after a knockdown so it no longer whiffs on a grounded opponent off axis which happens a lot.

ub/u+3+4 - This is the new command of the regular ub/u/uf+3 (Flying Bird). The high crush property has been improved and increased.

u,ub,b - The new ability to do an evasive backflip.

uf+3 - The new command for the regular f,f+3 (Aerial Glide) which has been replaced below. The animation of her jump posture, jump height and arms during the jump startup have been changed to be done just like HAR+3 (Palmate Spin) for a harder to differentiate animation between this and the other. The damage has been buffed from 20 points to 23 points. The block frame has been buffed from -9 to -5. The command for the regular uf+3 (Flying Bird) is now ub/u+3+4 above.

uf+4,4,4,4 - The third hit done without the fourth hit extension now tracks to the left. The block frame of the third hit has been nerfed from -10 to -12 by decreasing two recovery frames on opponent and not increasing two recovery frames on the Katarina.

uf+4,4,4,4,4,4 - The last two hits have been removed.

uf+3+4 - The second hit has been changed to slam the opponent down face down head towards like d+1 (Feather Chop) on counter hit always giving guaranteed ub+4 (Lower Axis).

f,f+2,4 - The startup frame has been nerfed from 12f to 14f. The animation of the first hit has been changed to aim upwards towards face and no longer straight ahead to the stomach for a more realistic high hitting animation. The damage of the second hit has been buffed from 20 points to 22 points. The first hit and the second hit now jail on block.

f,f+3,4 - A new low that is similar to Lars' f,f+4,3 (Double Pulse) with different properties. The difference is the first hit trips the opponent airborne like a hellsweep when the entire string is done and the second hit breaks breakable walls. The second hit is her f+3+4 (Fledgeling Foot) power crush but without the power crush property. The startup is 19f. The damage of the first hit is 14 points. The damage of the second hit is 23 points (16 points airborne). The damage of the entire string is 14 + 16 making a total of 30 points. The first hit done alone on natural hit or counter hit just causes opponent to stumble. The hit frame of the first hit done alone is neutral. The first hit staggers on block and the block frame is -26. The second has the same knockdown on standing opponent as f+3+4. The block frame of the second hit is -13. Consider this Katarina's version of Paul's d+4,2 (Demolition Man) string. A scary new forward dash approach low mix up. A consistent grunt/gasp sound cue being the same "HA!" she does during startup of db+3 (Sliding Kick) is added to the startup for fairness. The command of the regular f,f+3 (Aerial Glide) is now uf+3 above.

f,f+4 - The block frame is buffed from -13 to -9. This also decreases the recovery frame by 4 frames allowing faster dashing and better follow ups after use as a screw in juggles.

f,f+1+2 - Negan's 2+3 (Shove) given to Katarina since Negan is a guest character who won't return with some adjusted properties. The startup frame is 14f. The natural hit frame is buffed from +2 to +5. The counter hit frame is buffed from +14 to +19 stun. On counter hit Katarina steps in and does her 1+2+3 (Taunt). The block frame is buffed from -7 to -5.

BASIC JAB STRINGS, KICK STRINGS AND DF+1 STRINGS


1,1 - The hit frame has been buffed from +4 to +5. The block frame of the second hit is nerfed from -2 to -3.

1,1,1 - This is no longer a string. The last hit has been removed and used for a new HAR+df+2,1 mid mix up below. A new 1,1,3 mid mix up has been added below in replacement of this string.

1,1,2 - The damage of the second hit has been buffed from 17 points to 18 points. The block framed is nerfed from +7 to +2.

1,1,3 - The last hit has been changed to the second hit of Katarina's regular d+3,3 (Tarsus Body Blow). The damage is nerfed above from 18 points to 16 points. The block frame is buffed above from -13 to -11. The last hit of the regular 1,1,3 (Albatross Punch Combo) has been removed and given to ub/u+3 as a new natural launching orbital above.

1,1,4 - The last hit has been changed to the second hit of her regular 1,4 (Needle Kick Combo) string before removal below for a new low mix up with it's below adjusted properties. The hit frame has been nerfed from +1 to neutral. The damage has been buffed from 10 points to 14 points. The block frame has been nerfed from -12 to -14. The last hit of the regular 1,1,4 (Goose Punch Combo) has been removed and given to df+3,4 for a new mid mix up above.

1,2 - The block frame of the second hit is buffed from -3 to -1 by increasing two recovery frames on the opponent and not decreasing two recovery frames on Katarina.

1,2,3 - Katarina's f+3 (Heel Hook) following after the the second hit as new mid mix up. This will not combo with the second hit on natural hit nor on counter hit but this will low crush and punish any low retaliation after block on the second hit.

1,2,4,4,4 - The last two hits now combo with the third hit on counter hit. The block frame of the third hit has been buffed from -18 to -10 by decreasing four recovery frames on Katarina and increasing four recovery frames on the opponent.

1,2,3+4 - Katarina's df+3+4 (Tucano Tail) following after the second hit as a new low mix up with its above adjusted properties. This will not combo with the second hit on natural hit nor on counter hit but this will high crush any high retaliation after block on the second hit and will punish a left jab retaliation.

1,3 - The second hit is her FC+db/d/df+3 following after as a string with it's below property changes. This is a natural hit combo. This is replacing the regular 1,4 (Needle Kick Combo) string before removal below.

1,4 - This has been removed. The last hit of the regular 1,4 has been used other places.

3,3,3,3,3 - The hit frame of the second hit has been buffed from +2 to +4. The hit frame of the third hit has been buffed from +1 to +2. The damage of the first hit is nerfed from 9 points to 8 points. The damage of the last hit is buffed from 17 points to 18 points.

3,4 - The damage of the second hit has been buffed from 20 points to 22 points.

4 - The damage has been nerfed from 17 points to 16 points. The block frame has been buffed from -12 to -10 by decreasing two recovery frames on Katarina and not increasing two recovery frames on the opponent.

4,4 - The second hit when done without the third hit extension now tracks to the left. The block frame has been nerfed from -10 to -12 by decreasing two recovery frames on opponent and not increasing two recovery frames on the Katarina.

4,4,4,4,4 - The last two hits have been removed.

df+1 - The hit box and range has been increased to the hit box and range of her regular b+1 before change above.

df+1,1 - The damage of the second hit has been buffed from 8 points to 10 points. The hit frame has been nerfed from +6 to +5. The block frame has been buffed from -6 to -3. The recovery frame is made to be the same as 1,1. The second hit has been made to be exactly same as the second of 1,1 has been made above.

df+1,1,2 - The last hit of her 1,1,2 (Rush Punch Combo) added with it's above adjusted properties.

df+1,1,3 - The last hit of her new 1,1,3 above added with it's above stated properties.

df+1,1,4 - The last hit of her new 1,1,4 added here with it's above stated properties.

df+1,1,F - The hit frame has been nerfed from +10 to +7. The block frame is still -1.

df+1,2 - The second hit of the regular b+1,2 (Piercing Peck) before replacement above placed here as a new df+1 mid extension. The impact speed of the second hit is the same as df+1,1 (Peck and Slap). The second hit no longer jails on block. The second hit is still a natural combo. The block frame has been nerfed from -8 to -9.

HARRIER MOVES


HAR+1 - This is now a homing move. The damage has been buffed from 12 points to 14 points. The range has been increased. Counter hit no longer has knockdown.

HAR+2 - The startup frame is buffed from 18f to 17f. The hit frame is buffed from -2 to +1. The damage is buffed from 20 points to 23 points. The block frame is nerfed from -6 to -7.

HAR+3 - The damage has been buffed from 20 points to 24 points. Tracking to both the left and the right has been increased, especially the right.

HAR+4 - This is changed to the second hit of her regular df+3,3 (Wagtail) before removal above done with the opposite leg. The startup frame is 19f. This high crushes like HAR+1 (Alula Slice). The damage is still 24 points. The knockdown has been changed to the same knockdown of HAR+3 (Palmate Spin) giving guaranteed ub+4 (Lower Axis). The block frame is nerfed from -21 stagger to -36 stagger. The new command of the regular HAR+4 (Snipe's Knee) is now HAR+uf+4 below.

HAR+3+4 - A faster version of her db+3+4 (Eclipse Plumage) unblockable. The startup frame is 45f which is a third faster in speed than the regular version which is 68f. The damage is the same as the regular version.

HAR+df+1 - The regular b+1 (Inside Peck) before replacement above placed here as a new Harrier move. The startup frame is still 14f. The hit frame is still +2. The damage is still 13 points. The natural hit frame has been buffed to be the same as the counter hit frame. The block frame is still -9.

HAR+df+1,1 - The regular b+1,1 (Peck Upper) before replacement above placed here as a new Harrier move. The damage of the second hit has been nerfed from 20 points to 18 points. The second hit no longer has natural hit knockdown being reverted back to the way it was in season 1. The natural hit frame of the second hit is +6 with nosebleed animation. Counter hit on the second hit now has the same knockdown as the second hit of d+3,4 (Tarsus Neck Blow) on counter hit giving guaranteed ub+4 (Lower Axis). The natural hit frame of the first hit is now buffed to be the same as the regular counter hit frame making this string now a natural combo. The block frame has been buffed from -12 to -9.

HAR+df+1,F - The regular b+1,F (Inside Peck to Harrier). The hit frame is +14. The block frame is +3. The natural hit frame has been changed to it's regular counter hit frame and this now gives a guaranteed HAR+1 (Alula Slice) after b+1,F Harrier cancel on natural hit.

HAR+df+2 - The first hit has been changed to lightly lift the opponent off the ground. The hit frame is buffed from -2 to +2.

HAR+df+2,1 - A left rotating version of the last hit of her regular 1,1,1 (Wing Punch Combo) before removal above added here following the first hit for a new mid mix up. This is a natural combo. The damage of the second hit has been nerfed from 23 points to 20 points. The hit frame has been buffed from -1 to +5 with forced FC. Counter hit properties are the same giving face down head towards knockdown and guaranteed ub+4 (Lower Axis). The block frame has been nerfed from -5 to -10. This has the same impact speed and impact range as HAR+df+2,3 (Egret Rush). The first hit has been changed above to lightly lift the opponent off the ground which causes the second hit after landing the first hit to slam the opponent to the ground at close range. Also useful for breakable grounds on standing opponents and in juggles.

HAR+df+2,3 - The second hit now screw launches on counter hit. The first hit has been changed above to lightly lift the opponent off the ground which causes the second hit after landing the first hit to screw the opponent. This makes the properties of this string as a successful combo and the last hit alone on counter hit the same as the last two hits of Nina's f+2,1,4 (Mimosa Combo).

HAR+df+3 - This has been removed and given to FC+df+3 below.

HAR+uf+3 - The startup frame has been buffed from 27f to 24f. The damage has been buffed from 20 points to 23 points. The block frame has been buffed from -9 to -5. This now shares the exact same properties as the regular stance version has been made above.

HAR+uf+4 - This is the new command of the regular HAR+4 (Snipe's Knee).

SIDE STEP ATTACKS


SS+1+2 - A safe, 14f, spinning double arm, double high something similar to Lucky Chloe's 1+2 (Double Swing) in animation but the right hand comes first then left hand comes second instead. The first hit is a spinning backhand slap and the second hit is basically a left handed version of the second hit of 1,2 in animation. The second hit gives close knockdown to the right and guarantees db+3 (Sliding Kick). The damage is 10 + 20 being a total of 30 points. The range is one back dash. The block frame is -3. Both hits jail.


WHILE STANDING ATTACKS AND FULL CROUCH ATTACKS


WS+1 - This has been changed to be the same as df+1 with it's adjusted properties above.

WS+1,1 - This has been changed to be the same as df+1,1 (Peck and Slap) with it's same above adjusted properties, frames, recovery and extension above. The regular animation of the first hit has been given to the new df+2 launcher above.

WS+1,1,2 - The last hit of her 1,1,2 (Rush Punch Combo) added with it's above adjusted properties.

WS+1,1,3 - The last hit of her new 1,1,3 above added with it's above stated properties.

WS+1,1,4 - The last hit of her new 1,1,4 above added with it's above stated properties.

WS+1,2 - This is the same move as her new df+1,2 above.

WS+3,3,3,3,3 - The damage of the first hit has been nerfed from 12 points to 8 points. The damage of the last hit has been buffed from 17 points to 18 points. This version has been made to be the same as the regular stance version above.

WS+3+4 - Katarina's f+3+4 (Fledgeling Foot) power crush now also able to be done WS.

FC+df+4 - The hit frame has been buffed from +1 to +2.

FC+db/d+3 - The startup frame is buffed from 16f to 15f. The hit frame is buffed from -3 to -2. The block frame is buffed from -14 to -13.

FC+df+3 - This is the new command of her regular HAR+df+3 (Swooping Swallow) removed above. The properties and range are overall the same. The damage has been buffed from 20 points to 24 points.

FC+db/d+4,1 - A new extensions with the second hit being a left handed version of the second hit of her 2,2 (Feather Fury) string. The second hit is high and this new string is identical to both Anna's and Nina's d+4,1 (Low Kick Spin Punch) string. The impact speeds are the same as 2,2. The damage of the second hit is 20 points. The second hit wall splat spins. The hit frame is +10kg. This is a counter hit combo. This does not have the ability to be delayed. The block frame is -12. The second hit can be easily ducked and launched. This is also able to be done with the command of d+4,1 above.


WHILE RUNNING MOVES


WR+3 - Not originally my idea but one I find is a good idea. This is the last hit of the new df+3,3,3 above also now made into a while new running move done but the startup of this version has Katarina twist right then kick out. The startup frame is 19f. The damage is still 25 points. This is still a wall bounce. The block frame is still -9. The command for the regular WR+3 (Pheasant Heel) is now WR+3+4 below.

WR+3+4 - This is the new command of the regular WR+3+4 (Pheasant Heel).


GRABS AND PARRY


uf+1+2 - This is the new command for the regular df+1+2 (Phoenix Kick Flurry) double arm grab before replacement above. This now makes it also able to be done while in FC. The damage has been changed from 4 + 4 + 4 +4 + 12 +12 to 5 + 5 + 5 +5 + 20. All of the damage is now within the hits during the grab and the opponent no longer takes damage when hitting the ground. This is fair since Kazumi's df+1+2 (Lightning Wrath) grab has the damage of 40 points and does all of the damage within the hits before the opponent hits the ground. This is for a more rewarding wall splat combo.

b+1+2 - A new parry that can parry most high and mid punch and kick attacks but can't parry elbows, knees, body checks nor some others. The parry is the same for both arms and the same for both legs. The parry is the same as Xioayu's 1+4 (High Mid Parry) where she simply pushes the parried arm or leg to the side and gives +7 frame advantage. The same "HA!" she does during startup of db+3 (Sliding Kick) is done every time she does a parry.

HAR+1+3 - The 1+3 (Flying Catch) left arm grab now able to be done during Harrier.

HAR+2+4 - The 2+3 (Display of Force) right arm grab now able to be done during Harrier.

HAR+uf+1+2 - This is the new command to do the regular df+1+2 (Phoenix Kick Flurry) double arm grab before it's command change to uf+1+2 above during Harrier.


BACK TURNED SPECIAL ATTACK


BT+3,3,3 - The same as 3,3,3 along with all of it's extensions. The startup frame is 14f.

BT+4,4,4 - The same as 4,4,4 along with all of it's extensions. The startup frame is 11f.

BT+d+3 - This is the second hit of her regular df+3,3 (Wagtail) before removal above now as a back turned move. The startup frame is 17f. The damage is still 24 points. The knockdown has been changed to the same knockdown of HAR+3 (Palmate Spin) giving guaranteed ub+4 (Lower Axis). The block frame is nerfed from -21 stagger to -26 stagger.

RAGE DRIVE


db+1+2 - This is a super version of the regular b+1,2 (Piercing Peck) before moving it HAR+df+1,2. The startup is 17f. The range of the first hit is buffed to two back dashes as Katarina takes a bigger dash ahead during startup. The impact speed of the second hit has been made 4 frames slower above to removing jailing on block but as a Rage Drive this version jails. The damage of the second hit of this version is 20 points and crumple stun launches on natural hit. The block frame is neutral with decent pushback. This is Rage Drive 2.

f,f+3+4 - This is a super version of the regular f,f+4 (Plover Kick). The startup frame is 17f. The damage is 35 points. This screw launches on both natural hit and counter hit. The block frame is neutral with great pushback. This gives wall chip damage on block.

HAR+1+2 - This has been changed to launch standing opponents very high. The regular version only happens hitting the opponent when airborne.
