Some of the sections on the website still such as the Event section that holds all the event and venue info so I thought it would be best if i wrote the most important stuff here for the time being


5:th - 6th of August in central Stockholm, Sweden. The event starts Saturday 12:30 and ends 8:00 monday morning. Versus consists of tournaments in 7 fightinggames and many stations for casuals, free arcades both in korean B2B style and on projector! As well as special events like pre scheduled money matches, presentations in T5 DR for PSP and Hokuto No Ken.


1 EUR = 9 SEK

Unfortunally we wont be able to accept euros, if you need to change money there are several currency exchange offices in the central station and in the city terminal.

Entry fee is 200 SEK for the whole event, day or night, and will give you access to all the casual stations and sleeping areas. We will however ask you to participate in at least one tournament. Entry fee for each tournament is 40 SEK but if you want to participate in 4 or more tournaments you dont have to pay more then 140 SEK. This whole event is 100% non proftiable so everything after expenses goes to a prizepot.

The name of the venue is Dragons Lair (www.dragonslair.se) and is located just a few min walk from the central station. The venue is 300 square meters big so the limit of players is 120. Therefore it is highly recommended that you register beforehand. You can read more about this in the Signup section on the website.

Versus is presented to you by LightDash, SoulCharge, PlayStation 2, Dragons Lair, Level and tvnisse.se.

This collaboration means we will have a brand new PSP + game for the Tekken 5 and Soul Calibur 3 winners. Cash prizes will also be awarded for placing first to third in all the tournaments.

We have aslo been sponsored with logistics meaning we will have 25-30 gamestations including 2-3 projectors for casuals and tournament play. Level is one of Swedens biggest gaming magazines and they will document everything. We in the staff will ofcourse also do our own documentation in form of capping, dvd sales and so on.


What is the tournament schedule and whats the format for each tournament?

The format for each tournament has not yet been decided but this is the approximated tournament schedule:

Saturday:
15:00: Tekken 5
18:00: Soul Calibur 3
21:00: Street Fighter 3: Third Strike
24:00: Tekken Tag Tournament

Sunday:
10:00: Capcom vs Snk 2
12:00: Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution
14:00: Guilty Gear XX/


How do i get there?

First of all you will probably need to fly here, i would recommend flying with a low fare flight company like ryan air for instance. When you fly to Sweden arriving to any of these three airports is fine:

Västerås
Skavsta
Arlanda

There are no low fare flights to Arlanda.

From the airports you can grab a coach that will take you directly to the City Terminal (right by the central station), leaving you at a 10 min walking distance from Dragons Lair.

We will do regular pickups at the city terminal and central train station so if you contact me personally or mail us we will personally pick you up. However if you want to go to the Venue yourself this is how you get there:

1. We recommend you to walk from the central station to the venue, its a 10 min walk and will save you all the trouble of using the subway. Most probably you will find other players going to the venue so it shouldnt be impossible to find your way.

2. You can also take the blue subway line from the central station to Rådhuset.

This map will shoy you the way regardless if you decide to walk from the central station or the subway station.

Where can i sleep?

It is possible to sleep for free at the venue, however we dont have any madrasses or sleeping bags so bring your own if you are planning to stay during the night. This is deffinitly recommended, but in case you dont want to sleep at the venue but at a hostel or hotel, then we recommend you to get in contact with one of these as they are all very close to the venue:

I have some updates, we managed to get the venue another 10 hours meaning we will have a CVS2 and TTT tourney as well!!

The venue is gonna have a limit of 120 players, we are trying to raise that limit as well right now.

A proper website is on its way as well, thats all for now.

Another update:

We will be the first in europe to publicaly display Tekken 5 DR on the psp, and during the whole event it will be possible to try it out for anyone who wants

First price in T5 and SC3 will be a brand new psp + game as well as a cash amount.

I would like to ask: how about accomodation? Through airlines, I would have to arrive on 2nd August (departure 7th August)... quite a lot of days...

The discussion among Polish players has just started, but we're overally very interested. Matt and Devil will 90% come, Robson and me are still evaluating the costs (so we haven't yet decided), there are also two other players who would want to come (Respect and Hwo-master).

As for me, I'll know for sure in two weeks time. ^^ Matt and Devil will post here as soon as they decide.
