Okay i think most of you know about this ftp but just to be sure im gonna post the info on this part of the forum to. There are alot of T5 tournaments being held in korea, they are very interesting and needs to be shared to the whole tekken community so i think its best i announce it in T5 general for all to see.

The ftp is at my apartment. I have 9 mbit upload and 10 mbit download connection which im sharing with my WoW addicted brother, so I hope you dont get shitty speeds.

ftp adress:

password: tekken

Everything else should be default and you shouldnt have a problem connecting.

You can also access it through an internet explorer window with this adress:

Im not the most technical ftp admin, i´ll admit that but i´m doing my best, the truth is that if you have any problems you will probably get more help from any random ftp knowledgable friend then me.

Entomo has been into the ftp but lately i havent talked much to him, i think he´s a bit busy. He is still an admin though so if you see him you could ask him if you have any problem. Another admin is Chef, he is more in charge of organising the ftp, sorting stuff from the upload folder to its right folder. But you could ask him to.

Its hard to find a good file structure system but Entomo managed to get it down pretty good, i hope its not to confusing anyway.

We have about 50 gigs right now and I still have 70 gigs left on the disc so it wont run out in the near future


The idea of the ftp is to have a collection of tekken vids that the whole tekken community can access and that is as complete as it can be. In other words, please upload a vid if you think its missing on the ftp. If everybody helps out we can make this ftp rock even more. Right now im pretty much doing most of the work, uploading vids and so on, but if you help me out this thing can pretty much run itself and we can get some kick ass vids that we might be missing for one reason or another.

The bigger this ftp gets, the more motivation people will have to do combovids or cap their matches and stuff like that. This is something that helps the community greatly. However there are some vids that are forbidden on the ftp.


THESE VIDS ARE NOT ALLOWED AND WILL NEVER BE ONLINE SO DONT UPLOAD THEM:

T4 vids.
TZ and fighters.net vids.
US nationals or other tekken.net exclusive vids.

If you upload any of these vids, they will be deleted the next time i see them and if i happen to catch your ip you will get banned, so dont even think about it.


We´re hosting other tekken material as well besides from the vids, like urls to cool sites, pics, music, faqs and so on, you get the idea, all tekken related of course.

In this post i might add answers to your questions and other general information, in other words i might edit this post in the future.

People seem to have some general problems that i allways find myself answering 1000 times a day, so please go through these steps before you decide to ask me something.

1. If it dosnt work through an internet explorer window then use an ftp program, this problem is very common on XP. Almost 99% of the people having trouble connecting are having trouble due to this.

2. If you dont have a limit on your maximum simultanous downloads then you will probably get banned pretty quickly, this is an auto ban system that will ban you for 10 min if you´re connecting to much under to short time.

3. Dont use any random ftp program, use leech ftp/smart ftp or cute ftp. Whenever people switch to one of these it usually seems to work fine.


And now for the most important section:

T5 isnt as impressive as i had hoped it to be, it is a fun game and im playing it very often but i have other things im doing in my life right now, what im trying to say is that this ftp is no longer my main priority. So if you think its being run badly or that im lazy, give me a break, im doing this for you and its free of charge so dont expect anything from me. For instance if there are combovids missing and they arent in its folder, dont complain, get them from the upload folder since they will probably be there or upload them yourself!

I dont know how much more traffic im going tto get now that i have announced it on this part of the forum, if i notice that the traffic is to big i´ll fix some sort of bandwith limit or queue system.

Dont complain if you get shitty speeds pls. People complaining over free stuff makes me sick.

Okay sorry for all the complaints, im acctually a very positive guy and i think this whole ftp project is very fun but i just wanted to adress all the different problems that i might have to solve in the future unless i make you aware of them

Q: How da heck do you use this complicated program?
A: Here's a small tutorial to using LeechFTP for those of you who might need one:

1. Run Leechftp.exe
2. From "File" menu select "Connect"
3. Fill the fields:
- Host or URL: maximi.mine.nu
- Port: 21
- Username: tekken
- Password: tekken
- Leave "Remote directory" empty
4. Press "OK"

The right column is the FTP directory tree and the middle one shows your own hard drive. The left column has four different sleeves:
- Queue: shows the files you have on queue for either download or upload. the white "Zz" bubble in the corner is "Pause". Files won't start to download if it's pressed down.
- Threads: shows your current downloads and uploads. Change the number of "max threads" to 2.
- Downloads: shows the finished downloads.
- Failures: shows the files that weren't downloaded successfully. Press the "Resubmit job" (green arrow) to move them back to the download queue.

You can download files by dragging and dropping them from the right column to the middle one (and the other way round to upload). You can drag and drop as many files (or even folders) as you want. All of them will show up on the "Queues" sleeve. In case you want to remove something from the queue just highlight the file and press "Delete" button. Select the "Threads" sleeve on the left panel to view the download/upload process. To cancel a download or upload just right-click the process bar and select "Cancel thread".

You also might wanna add the address to the bookmarks.
1. From "File" menu select "Bookmarks"
2. Right-click on the left column of the new window,select "Add folder" and name it Tekken
4. Right-click on the right column, select "Add bookmark" and type the same info as above.
5. Press "OK" and double-click the blue icon.

Okay first of all you might have heard of the Kenbu battle in korea, its basically a tv show where they follow one of japans top player (kenbu) on his visit in korea where he plays 3 of the best current players, Leedy, Holeman and Nin.

I have a the vid but it gets cut of in the middle, if someone could pls upload the whole version it would be much apprecatied, thank you!

This is a very cool vid since you get to see more of the players and their reactions to wins/losses.

The Nin VS 50 event i think is an event where Nin got to play 50 consecutive opponents since he won the 2005 nationals. Basically its just a fun event but the matches are very entertaining none the less.
