As requested, this is a quick guide for Asuka Kazama. I'll mention briefly what each section is about but I'll link the appropriate threads for the full discussion.

d/b+1+2: No break. Does no damage, just gives +4

Taggable partners from d/b+4,3~5

I won't list them because it's a big list. General Mustang has created a thread with this information. For the full discussion, click here)

Okizeme (options while your opponent is on the ground)

A thread has been created for Asuka's okizeme here, but there isn't much there yet.

What I use when opponent is on the ground in open space:

d/f+1: Picks up opponents if they do anything but sit there
1+4: As above (first hit no longer hits grounded)
f+1,3: Both moves pick up back rollers. Second hit can also CH launch any get up kicks
d/b+4: Always hits grounded. If they back roll, you can get d/b+4,3~5
d/b+3: Always hits grounded with decent damage
3+4: Stomp damage. Will hit backrollers but not quick rolls.

What I use when opponent is on the ground next to a wall:

d/f+3: Hits if opponent does anything but stay on the ground
d+1+2: Hits grounded but low range and doesn't give anything but a ground hit. Will re-KND if opponent is standing up
3+4: Hits grounded. If opponent does getup kicks, it'll hit and give you a b+4,2 b! at the wall

Hmm... I should probably copy and paste the above into the thread :p

Risk from Asuka's better moves

A thread dedicated to testing and analyzing the risk factor off Asuka's most used moves created by Dilly called What's the worst that can happen?Asuka Risk thread.

It's an ongoing discussion when Dilly has time to test so I won't list anything here.

Ask a question about Asuka

Like most character forums, there's usually an "Ask a question thread".. here it is. It is getting quite lengthy so there's a lot to read through. It really is worth reading through the entire thread though.

Asuka Top 10 Moves

As above... here is the one for TTT2 Asuka. Good for new players to gauge what is worth using and what works for other players.

Skimming over the whole thing right now, and I found these:

Add the ff:
14f: uf+2
15f: ws+1,4
taggable move: (db+4),3
combo off b+3 --- add b+3,4,3, 2,1,1+2 B!

Change the ff:
ws+3 at the "launchers" section --- change it to 19f

Delete the ff:
taggable move: Asuka's reversal

Dunno what to do with these:
(at b+3 section --- do these even work?)
4,1+4,2, d+2 b!
4,(1)+4,2, 2,1,1+2 b!

For wallsplat move, i12 2,3 is pretty good.

Add 2,1 for i12 as well, for those who aren't sure if the move is -12 and to keep them standing if they have tag crash so they're forced to take risks to get out.

Missed this from the paste.. deleted.

I mean b+3,4,1+4,2, d+2. I never actually use it since I can tag off b+3,4,3 now, but the above use to work in T6. Hmm... actually, I think I got it wrong. It was b+3,4, 1+4, 2,1,1+2 b!.. it's slightly changed now but it should still work.. someone test please.

Thanks everyone. If you see anymore mistakes, let me know.

Also added (d/b+4),3 into the launch list with d/f+2_f+2. It's not exactly the same it's just a quick guide anyway. I'm expecting questions anyway.

Also added 3~4 to the launch list.

Edit:

Also added Counter Hit Launchers and Command Throws as two new categories.

d/b+2 is another taggable move that appears to be missing in the OP.

I was wondering when someone was gonna do this, good job! Now I can refer new Asuka players I find on PSN to this post instead of typing up essays myself.

Oh and you forgot about 3~4 as a launch.

Completely forgot about d/b+2. I'll add it tonight after work.

General Mustang
I think I messed up the edit and saved over the 3~4 section because I do remember adding it this morning. I'll re-add when I get home.

Edit:
Add d/b+2 to launchers and high crush.

Re-added 3~4 combos.

Added u/f+3 and SS+4 to counter hit launchers.

I think d/b+1+2 now gives +8 since it's now high. Makes sense, as that'd give you a free 1+2 like I keep hearing people talk about.

I found that when I was browsing around, but I'll test it myself when I get the chance.

I'd rather it be tested properly than believe a guy who said it's +8 on block.

Would you mind if I edit in anything I see that needs to be changed rather than merely posting it if I KNOW it to be true?

d/b+1+2 is asuka's no-damage frame advantage throw.

Technically, it is +8 on block, because you can't truly block it. I think he wrote it like that because it's not a true throw any-more--she can be counter-hit out of it and it DOES register as a CH now.

Sure. Just keep everything factually based. I can't always edit since I'm at work a lot. Could you just make a note somewhere about the changes you make. Sure that defeats the purpose of you not having to post, but just to inform of the updates. Thanks!

About d/b+1+2.. it's more of a throw than anything else visually even if it has hit properties. Even going by what you said, it'd be more appropriate if he said "on hit" since there is no blocking it.

However you look at it, it's the same basic concept. Also, I'll make sure to post any time I update. I'll start in the punishment section since I see some obvious ones that didn't carry over since you copied from Jun.

Added 3+4 as a launcher, it's rather difficult to combo off of in open play, but it IS doable.
Added d/f+1+2 as combo starter (as long as it parries low).
Added f+3 and f,f+3 as wall splats.
Added f+3, b+3 wall combo (only use if b! was used before wall splat). AFAIK it's her highest damage post b! wall combo.

Wish TZ had a "like" post function.

Yeah, I only went through them very roughly just to get something up. Glad people are picking up on the differences.

Added (f+1),d+4 to the CH launchers, since the d+4 is guaranteed on CH and as long as you aren't at tip range it will give the full combo.
Added WS1+2 to CH launchers.

You already know I'll be frequently adding new material to this thread. Asuka is serious business after all.

Umm... wouldn't it be f+1,d+4 and not (f+1),4 as a CH launcher then?
