Mods, feel free to make yourselves useful here by cleaning up the thread, color coding the combos, formatting content for uniformity, etc.

Fellow Steve players intending to post tag-combos, please ensure at the least you include damage on your combos. I like how FoxSteve defined the damage benchmarks for each launcher (eg solo damage). Considering updating original post with these combos/damage amounts. Further, do include the alternate character as combo leaders, since, as we all know, steve is not the easiest character with which to launch.

For now, let's try to adhere to this format:

<character lead>
<launcher>
<launcher>, <combo> = <damage>,<red life? y/n>, <difficulty (easy/medium/hard)>

<launcher2>
...
etc, etc.
<General observations about combo physics, oki, preferences.>

Steve TA fillers
df121~b, dck1 (height, moderate damage)
df121~b~flk1~alb2 (damage)
f21~b, dck1 (consistency, lower damage)

Steve as lead, combo enders
SF
alb2
dck 1 (lower damage, oki)
running 2 (highest damage single hit ender, i think)

*substitute agf with 1+2 to obtain less damage in exchange of more oki(-7 dmg ).
*expert trick: 1,2 instead of agf to obtain less damage and a better recover near wall, so as wall carry(-19 dmg). NB: NORMALLY, YOU DON'T NEED TO SUBSTITUTE AGF WITH 1,2. the distance the flying char does is very similar. But, if agf it too near the wall, you will lose wall damage. Use 1,2 just in that case!

    uf4/ ufn4(+16 dmg)
  • bob1 ws3 [3]!B (ssl b1 d2 1) agf 86 dmg -->main combo

Steve TA df121~b, dck1 is the most damaging TA filler to set up Bruce's flying knees ender. Unfortunately, it is also fickle and inconsistent, as it is height dependent on timing and execution at two separate points: 1.) combo upon initial launch, 2.) height after TA. Sometimes a brief several frame delay between df121~b and dck1 is enough to make the flying knees whiff. Further, alignment plays a role as well, and the combos which include bruce f1+2 will require a precise TA SSR to realign the juggled character so that the knees can hit properly.

As a result, Steve TA f21~b, dck1 ameliorates the height issue for Bruce/Steve combos where the B! comes a few hits later after initial launch. Generally, you want to pause briefly after B! before the f21, since if executed too early, the whole thing will whiff.

Overall, TA df121~b~flk1~alb2 seems to be the easiest, and therefore the most consistent TA damage option for Bruce lead combos. The damage output is comparable to flying knee enders, only slightly lower by a few 4-5 damage points, typically. Risk of punishment is consequently lower due to higher rates of combo success.

*You can replace Marduks ff1+2 airthrow ender with the 1+3 or 2+4 throw for simplicity.
*You can also replace it with ivts 3~5 to tag out safely.
*Steves df1,2,1~flk1~alb2 filler can be replaced with b1~flk1~alb2 and df1,2,1~dck1 for easier combo.

*Oki for Steves uf1 ender:
-Stand up: d/f1_db3,2 _d1+2.
-Backrollers: d/f1 (or anything that picks up)_d1+2.
-Grounded: Any low that hits grounded.

This is perfect! I was thinking of doing this my self, but i'm happy someone else took the job lol. I'll PM you a list of Steve/Lars and maybe Steve/Bryan juggles when my finals are done! Or do you want them to be posted in this thread? I hope this will motivate ppl to share their TA juggles!

I've been messing around with Steve/Miguel for a bit now, and while I don't actually know much of anything with Steve (I've been using him for just under a week so I'm scrubby as all hell ahaha) I've managed to slap together some combos with the two

I'm not at my PS3 at the moment though, so I can't give exact damage right now - they're all around 80-100 though. If no one wants to help me out here in the meantime, I'll be able to update this post tomorrow when I get a chance.

Notes:

Thanks to Paul's ff3,4,4 TA! filler it's actually easier to get more damage using simpler/shorter combos with steve which makes this quite an easy high damage team.

To get the hang of dash Deathfist after Steve's df1~2,1~b~FLK1, ALB2 TA! filler, as soon as you've inputted ALB2, deep dash with ff~n then qcf2.

To keep things easier when under pressure just do TA! df1~2,1~b~DCK1 for 6 points less damage but if you nail Paul's clean hit DF you will get 1 extra point over the FLK1, ALB2 TA! filler.

@Sofa haha yea man, I noticed other character forums have their shit together and enough demand in the steve forum for a consolidated list, so I pulled the trigger on this thread. Look forward to your Steve/Lars, Steve/Bryan combos, loved your Steve/Marduk work.

@sad stanley cool stuff man. Would be nice to see more combos from different launchers, especially with Miguel as lead. Looking forward to see what you figure out.

Ah, yeah that should be no problem
I generally just go for solo combos with Miguel but I imagine you could get pretty creative with these two!

Lets see, your basic bnb off of various launchers
d/f+2,1 d/f+1~f SAV u/f+3 d/f+4,1 d+2~5 d/f+1,2,1 ff+2,2 89 damage
SAV d/f+2 d/f+1~f SAV u/f+3 d/f+4,1 d+2~5 d/f+1,2,1 ff+2,2 94 damage
SAV 1,2,1 d/f+1~f SAV u/f+3 d/f+4,1 d+2~5 d/f+1,2,1 ff+2,2 116 damage*
SAV 1+2 ff d/f+1~f SAV u/f+3 d/f+4,1 d+2~5 d/f+1,2,1 ff+2,2 101 damage

*The cool thing about SAV 1,2,1 as a launcher is that most people don't expect the third hit of the string! CH b+2 d/f+1~f SAV 2~5 d/f+1,2,1 d/f+4,1,1 70 damage
CH b+1+2 d/f+1~f SAV 2~5 d/f+1,2,1 d/f+4,1,1 77 damage

d/f+2,1~5 d/f+1,2,1~f+2,1 FLK 1~ALB 2 68 damage
SAV 1+2~5 d/f+1,2,1~f+2,1 FLK 1~ALB 2 84 damage
SAV 1,2,1~5 d/f+1,2,1~f+2,1 FLK 1~ALB 2 96 damage

SAV 1,2,1~5 d/f+1,2,1 ff+2~5 f+4,2 d/f+1,2,1 111 damage

as far as things to add go, I've been using b+1~FLK b+1,1,1,2 for high splats with Steve, 3,1,1 for low splats, and d/f4,1,1 with Miguel for every height so tack those on wherever if you get interrupted with a W!

you can probably swich out df+1,2,1 for 3,1,1 in those combos for more damage. Or mabey duck f+2~duck 1 if you are up for it.

I'm sorry if this is not the appropriate place to ask, but can you connect db+3,2 to ff+2 ?

If we can, how to do it ? (I mean do you need to be near wall or something)

It's really good if it can connect...

Ahh, yeah that would probably let Miguel get some better finishers on a lot of this stuff. I'm still new enough to Steve that I completely forget about using his weaves in any sort of offensive manner ahaha

also, @ Zhuge
I would assume it's either really tight timing, or you're not running far enough at the start of the ff+2. Maybe even some combination of the two

Hey everyone - this looks like good shit. Big ups to everyone that's contributed so far.

Nice work defcon for stringing this together and thanks for taking the liberty of moving my combos over.

I'll be working on the Steve~Wall Combo sections as soon as I finish my work with Hwoarang so I'll post what I find up here as soon as I'm done.
