How do you guys deal with someone who is continually pressuring you with a fast(ish) +frame mid that covers a good distance with a hitbox fat enough to bound you if you try to go into RLX?

example: Bryan b+1, Drag fff+2, Lili d/f+3, Law f+1+2, Asuka d+2, etc.

I don't know if I'd call most of those fast... but keep your distance and cause them to whiff, Capos need to rely more on spacing and backdash to avoid pressure like that. And if you block, since most of those put you in FC, just keep blocking, if you think they'll go high you can try for fc,df4 or something. It really is very situational how you should react though

how do I do a basic combo from relaxed stance? like a bind so i can tag assult.
I know how it looks like just don't know the notation. thanks.


just found out its 2,4
but holy shit it is hard to hit.... is there an easier way to bound or what ever you call it

I think this is up a few posts, but anyway,

10f 1,2
12f 4
13f b3,f3
14f df2, b1 (better range)
16f df3+4

ws
11f ws4
13f ws1,3
14f ws2
19 or something... ws3

df2 was like that in BR, no one can really hit you anyway. What DOES suck is that it pushes back a little further, meaning qcf3 or f3+4 is not always guaranteed T____T

its less pushback now, so alot of people can punish with jabs. but its inconsistent with all characters outside of jack, and dependent on range. basically, you can make it safe by not throwing it at point blank, and can punish failed attempts by ducking and reacting with ws+1,3...

it was safe against most people due to push back. in ttt, lee could f+4 punish, in t4, bryan could always 1,4 it, in t5 you had a few inconsistent punishes, in t6 bob and jack could always punish.

Whoa, if Hwo can reach it with his t-rex arms, then that's cause to be alarmed... but I'd be surprised if he could consistantly punish it.

1+2 would be a fantastic punish, but I never get it to work. Even if the first slap hits the second almost always whiffs...

i find qcf+3 missing grounded alot with eddy. like just straight up whiffs over the body.

i noticed this too, i can land it perfectly with chrisitie... when i try dashing with eddy i sometimes accidentally do df3 -__-

with qcf+3 after d/f+2, just buffer it. Works perfectly. Requires a quick dash.
Also, against pressure, I resort to defending and the use of b+2. That has saved me many times. And it's safe.

Also, in regards to d/f+2 being -10. It has been -10 forever. But only jack, bob and bears can punish afaik. No one else. Maybe jinpachi but I'm not certain.

@Leonized: If you end up doing d/f+3 just hold down and go straight into RLX for mix up. Problem solved.
