It seems he has pretty decent wall carry with the addition of 4,1 and it looks like you don't have to ssl anymore for vampire knee to hit properly which opens up more opportunities.

It will be a sad shame once they patch SDW 3+4 but it does look pretty glitchy at the wall. I just hope they don't get rid of it mid combo but if they do, just gotta think of other things to do i guess... there's so much i wanna try out.

Raven combos at the start:

Raven sandwich combos are tight timing but easy to learn and very practical.

MUTE THE VIDEO BEFORE YOU PLAY IT!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6T1AILZnv6w

Some Unlimited Raven (paired with Marduk). VS CPU and not very high level play, but it shows some stuff you can do off of FC d/f+3+4 and CH f,f,n,3+4 and what I think might be some CH property changes of SS+3 and SDW f+3~f.

Now I don't have access to any newer games than vanilla T5 so my assumptions may be totally off, but I thought I should leave this here just in case..

interesting combos.
just a sidenote: from BR to TTT2, SDW f+3 property has changed.
in BR- SDW f+3 stays SDW, SDW f+3~f stays normal.
in TTT2- SDW f+3 stays normal, SDW f+3~b goes to SDW.

and yes i realise you mentioned that your most recent access is vanilla t5, but the CH properties of SDW f+3 and ss+3 are still the same as BR (in case you are interested)

Alright, any info I can get my hands on before I buy TTT2 is much appreciated!

That CH SDW f+3, 3~4... combo looks like it very well could be a death combo if Raven has netsu.
Also, is FC d/f+3+4, f,f+4... possible on every size character so to speak and did that work in BR already?

CH SDW f+3 and ss+3 are great combo starters, but just so you know the opponent can tech roll (and escape the followup) if they hit a button.

the CH FC df+3+4, ff+4 is possible on every character and yes worked in BR too.

FC df+3+4 is great against kuma as you can do ff+4, ub+1,2 B! afterwards on both CH and NH

Ah, so basically mash before you hit the ground in the first case?

I didn't know FC d/f+3+4 had different properties on CH, and does the NH version also work on Jack? I hate that damn robot with a burning and possibly unhealthy passion...

The T5 intro where Raven ker-slices him is art and I watch that part whenever that game's played ...

At 6:55, that little combo against Law, was it also possible in T6 BR?

Yeah except that last SDW 3+4 doesn't launch them as high in BR so you might wanna use a different ender.

Just like he said above, the SDW 3+4 won't launch as high. You can switch the ender for SDW f+2,4 _ SDW f+3+4 etc...

navee has an incredible raven...
no.1 good spacing, ub~b for df+2 or qcf+4 baiting. he uses it so well
no.2 good mind games. He managed to get FC df,d,df+4 (FC instant-qcf+4) to work so many times.

i must say though that i dont seem to understand why someone would always opt for f+1,2 over 2,4 as a i10 punisher.

Yeah I think he needs to grow accustomed to it, since it hasnt been a punisher in T6 and was punishable on block. But Im also wondering how often grabs connect. Did you notice that even knee doesnt cancel every second throw or even more?

Btw at 19:01 in the video above, is Raven really invisible after 3~4,f ? I could swear Ive seen the same animation as in T6 also in TTT2.

throws seem damn hard to break now. grabs however seem more punishable if they whiff.

that was just a recording error. when raven teleports through an opponent he disappears and reappears continuously. if the gameplay capturing recorder happens to skip some frames out, it is likely that it skips the reappearing frames, making raven "vanish".
