ONLINE
1) Better net code or whatever it takes to make the game be near flawless within... I'll go with 500 Miles (800KM)
2) You should be able to set the tolerance level of connection strength you are ever going to want to play against. For instance for me it is yellow bar. I am never going to accept a fight with an orange or red so why should I spend all that time cancelling them? It's retarded.
3) Similar to this it should display the GT of your opponent along with their connection strength.
4) speaking of connection strength it needs to mean what it says it means I have played a guy in Korea (By accident) on orange bars and oddly enough our connection was fast smooth and rather nice... I have also played greens that are jittery, laggy and float between red and green throughout the whole match (wireless prob). This is a problem cause I would never play the orange yet I want to, but I will replay the green but don't want to... maybe along with setting a limit to connection strength allowed and putting the GT up before accepting they could make an exception list that you can build that lets certain individuals bypass the restrictions in connection strength.
5) Rank; They need way more options and stats IMO. By options I mean legit Death Matches and Rank based rooms. They also need to regulate cheaters. One stat I had in mind was a list of the GT's any said individual has beaten on his way to whatever rank he is at... Call it a kind of quality check. Stats could really be taken to an extreme level very easy like baseball or something... tracking damage by type amount of throws per match juggle damage etc. It would allow you to get a feel for your opponent.
As far as Rank rooms go I think as long as they limit the options to what is in the standard rank format FT3 60 or 70 sec. (whatever it will be) and don't give the host an option of booting people it could work. So you can host and name it whatever you want like in T5DRO and invite friends or whoever but you cannot boot or change the settings. Death Match to me doesn't seem too hard of a concept to introduce. They could even have different types, pools and call-outs. Pools would just be like regular rank only you wait on someone with the same rank as you and you both play till one looses or gains. call-outs are just private one on one rooms. This could lead to cheating but maybe if they impose restrictions like having to have beaten 5 different GTs to advance every 3 ranks or something similar it could remedy this. Just brainstorming.
OFFLINE
1) Tutorial mode that teaches WD, BDc, iWS, punishment, etc...
2) Practice mode that has command capture and options for things like vs. CPU but with throw heavy play style for throw break practice. There could be a lot of things here.
3) Butt loads of customizations!
4) Instead of a story mode or a Scenario mode they should have a tournament mode. I think one of the Soul Calibers had something like this. Similar to a Grand Turismo or Forza Moto Sport type of format. Where you are an arcade player going around the world trying to become world champ. In lieu of this I also think online and offline Rank should be 100% separate so... Offline you can get to Tekken God vs CPU and online you start at Beginner.
Just some of the things I think about.
