i would never give best fighting game to a game that just came out. so blazblue is a definite no no. my vote goes to tekken.
street fighter was close but i feel that game was missing so much. its great, just missing some small things that could have made it fantstical.
This is the VGAs, they'd nominate games that haven't even been MADE yet.
Wow people can be so bitchy these days, the fuck's wrong with you guys? Tekken 6 is awesome and despite the flaws, still easily the best fighting game this gen.
Got my vote yesterday already.
Well it's certain that SFIV will win anyway... Stupid mainstream garbage.
Well, seeing as how I own both games, BlazBlue>Tekken 6. BlazBlue's online is near perfection.. I have noticeable lag when playing people on the west coast in tekken, however, I've played people in Japan with BlazBlue with no noticeable lag. The game's just... better than Tekken 6, and less of a headache.
I'm not saying that Blazeblue is beter simply because it has better online, it's got more balance, a smart AI, that's not cheap, and, you can't get killed by 1-3 attacks like you can in Tekken 6. I beat someone in about 4 seconds using Lili's unblockable attack 3 times in a row.
Why does rage mode increase unblockable attaks in Tekken 6 anyway? Those, and 10 hit combos should not have damage increases from rage.

Both of those questions are just dumb. The only good question about rage is why we even have it and why can't we turn it off?

Sorry, Dark Maverick, but when you win using the same unblockable 3 times in a row, you are not really playing Tekken: you are just bullying a noob. In that level, I can see how you can say BB is better, but believe me, you don't know the game.

i agree.
i'm not a huge fan of SF anyways and in my opinion Soul Calibur PSP doesn't deserve a vote either (SC sucks now.)

And how many unblockable attacks does blazblue have again? I use low tier characters in fighting games (usually) so, it's not like I have no idea on how to play fighters. I use Jin in Marvel Vs. Capcom when there's Strider Hiryu, and Red Venom, and Taokaka in BlazBlue when there's Jin, and Ragna.
Sometimes I start the match off with an unblockable, and, if it works, I'll just go ahead and do it again, and, sometimes, it'll connect a second time, and if it connects a second time, I'm going to do it a third time. I think I've been playing long enough to understand how the game works. If you're too stupid to side step, or stay on the ground, you deserve to get hit. But, if it misses, I won't do it again unless I properly time it.
We all know Tekken 6 didn't break any grounds in the series, or surpass any high level expectations of any sort, however, BlazBlue on the other hand did. So, I voted BlazBlue. Don't make a half-assed fighter if you want fighting game of the year, IMO... I don't like Street Fighter IV, and I honestly don't care if that wins the title... Just as long as Tekken 6 doesn't win, I'm happy.
Wow! There is a lot beef and pork going around here but what do you expect...
I give my vote for Tekken 6. I like all the new changes it brought plus its old fashion way of doing things. It did have a really long delay...and co-op campaign is not feature included but rather a dlc instead. It does have its flaws. When it all balls down to it, I am a Tekken Fan and will vote for the game regardless.

Sadly i think street fighter 4 is going to win . Everyone vote tekken please streetfighter 4 wasnt that great
Ahh my doa pal.
Guess crowds really did over do it with sf4. I like playing games where you can pull off strats and combo's using both controller and, arcade stick. Something tekken has easy n fluid on both pad n stick (accept just ewgf attacks). Sf4 has horrid links that requires hours of practice to master, and transition to the stick on sf4 is a pain in the ass.
