Final results are as follows:

1st - Team [Egrigori]
*yoo->sama* (Anna)
HaGu (Roger Jr.)
Pekosu (Bob)

2nd - Team RevoLution
Deku (Kazuya)
Yuukun (Anna)
Yuki (Julia)

T 3rd - Team Amano
Hamaa (Paul)
Fukusu (Leo)
Bakushi- (Bryan)

T 3rd - Team Nocchi
Oriba- (Julia)
Oujikusu (Bruce)
Yamataso (Marduk)

Congratulations to all the placers! The international rivalries weren't as plentiful this year as it was in the past (only Korea and Australia sent teams), but Japan fought hard and secured a top 4 all Japan finals! The highest placing international team was "The Best Team" from Korea (Soyongdory, Kim Motive, Rain). Let's hope we have as big a response for Tekken 6 at next year's EVOLUTION tournament!

How many teams entered and can we get full results? What happened to players Kawada (Steve), Nakki (Jack 6), Shou (Devil Jin), and TE2 (Miguel)? Did any of them compete? What teams? (If so.)

And Soyongdory played Devil Jin, right?

Anyway, what happened to team No-Respect? Why did Koreans fall and where?

Wasn't there a big hope for both Rain and Holeman as the ultimate "Korean Dragunov"?

This is a big surprise, imo. The players are mostly unknown so I'm afraid if it's because the game changed that way. All I say when someone asks me for SBO results this year is "some 4 random teams at top 4, don't know about koreans"...

im quite surprised with the overall outcome of the tournament.
like mentioned above, there werent any of the known teams that had made the top seats... was expecting a DJ as well, like the Game mentioned.

im not surprised to see kaz being it that he is the "most improved" character. also having anna & julia in the top teams would somehow validate that these are 2 of the more solid characters in the T6 roster.

thank you sir markman, this is info ive been wondering about for a while now.

There was also 9x Bob in the tournament and only one made it to top 4?
That looks like people finally play well against the character. For me, it seems like T4 Jin in Korea.

-> strong char ->
-> everyone begins to play with him ->
-> people make anti-strats ->
-> character loses and you have to be really good with him ->
-> people nearly stop playing him

But I don't know. MarkMan, your connections to results and the scene are incredible. Can you tell us more about Korean on SBO 08, please?

i heard nothing of team No-Respect to be honest.

Koreans were knocked out around quarter finals by

エグリゴリ
yoo sama (Anna)
Haaguu (Roger)
Pekosu (Bob)

and

のっち
Oribaa (Julia)
Oujikusu (Bruce)
Yamataso (Marduk)

yoo sama is the first anna player in the world to reach tekken lord in tekken 6. alot of people dont know that. i believe he was demoted by Pekosu's bob prior to SBO however.

MaDDoGJiN and Help Me showed up to SBO without a 3rd player, and were forced to find a random available player at the tournament.

All of japan including top players from Korea, introduced mishimas as top tier based of damage and paper stats. however both knew well before those lists ever came out the impact this years Super Battle Opera would have on the tier listings. Apparently FC mixups from anna can prove to be dominate. While all in all, Bob being the most Solid anchor character in all of T6.

Xeromos, that's it, much thanks for this coverage. Did MDJ really play Bob? Or did he switch because of the failure on first Korean SBO qualifiers?

About Nin, still desperately playing Steve who is not well playable in T6? I mean, any thoughts about it in interviews or whatever about the scene?

I know I'm a little bit question-boy now but better to ask than die in curiousity

anna bob roger?

urgh. why not just vomit on the arcade and piss in your opponent's eye? it's about as much fun for both parties and anyone watching.

other teams who did well were surprisingly interesting (go team low tier), but... no koreans, osaka or other well-known top players? I don't like calling "random".

but it looks REALLY FUCKING RANDOM.

I remember DUK2000 posting that Nin has a hard time playing Steve, that's why I asked. Since he qualified, he seems to have found a way to win, but still - we need to see the SBO matches. I was just coming from the comments posted a few months back. I'm sure Nin is a strong player, 5:0 with me

MSRyu 2nd played on SBO'07, quite cool Heihachi who started playing Kaz in T6 - lot of matches on YouTube. To my info, he's active, but not his predecessor MSRyu (1st? lol).

i understand. so Nin mustve gone through a slump figuring out T6 steve. Im sure Nin found a way to play this steve

I realize that possibly all the Tougeki 2008 match vids have been uploaded in youtube. but is it possible that markman post links here so that we are sure that those are the official matches.

ive tried looking in tekkensocial but the vids that are coming out are the correct ones. if possible at least Round of 8, or last 8 teams elimination?

Hello all, out of respect to Enterbrain and Arcadia... I ask that no videos from the live stream be posted here at all. Violations to this will result in temporary or permanent bann from this website.

--

There is a lot more information for SBO in this thread here:

http://www.tekkenzaibatsu.com/forum...threadid=108388

--

MaDDoG JiN and Help Me found a third Korean living in Japan that goes by the name of Shinkiro. I believe he used Kazuya or Devil Jin. I forget which one. MDJ also used Hwoarang in the tournament. Help Me used Lee. Their team made it out of the last chance qualifier along with Naoking's (Law) team.

Tissuemon, 2nd Mainstreet Ryu (Kazuya), and Mainstreet Ryu OG (Heihachi) also entered the last chance qualifier but were eliminated by Otokonoko's (Yoshimitsu) team.
