Wow, thanx yip_noob for making this a stickied one hehehe, its been almost a year since i posted on this thread..

for hwoarang matchup, all i do is wait for him to do the L-H stuff like d3,4 which somtetimes followed up with 2, you can usually ssr it and punish it with ss+3+4.. hmm.. that's all for now

For Lars' uf3, I'd either df2 or uf4 it. b4 gives crappy combo imo.

d+4 i heard is launch punishable but i havent confirmed that yet
3-cd (3,2~f) mixups can be evaded with a poke or risk a ss+3+4 for better reward.

d4 is actually -16 according to inatekken.

But Bruce's cd3/cd2 mix-up is so damn annoying. They both seem to track left and right sidesteps. And cd3 is 27 dmg and +4 on hit and cd2 give full damage juggle. And they're both high and at some points mid crush. Me no likey

But normally d4333~f CH against 3,2~f works quite well, since no-one would go and do 3,2~f without a follow-up move.

When it's expected you chuck out a hopkick: it will launch if they do cd+3, and if the cd+2 it will knock you away and no juggle i presume. However there are many ways to stop this, Bruce can either cd+1 or cd, neutral, 1_2_etc and will float.

Don't forget Bruce can also go 3,2 which will juggle on CH. They figured it was too cheap in tekken 6: CH full juggle and unpunishable on block.
So they nerfed it in BR to jab punishable; they crumple fdfa towards the ground faster and since Bruce's move which flips them back over to the normal floating position is situational (2,d+4,3) 99% of the time Bruce only gets a 60-70dmg back turn juggle instead of a half bar juggle in tekken 6. The risk to actually use 3,2 is much less rewarding now

He doesn't have a grab in flamingo and the majority of his lows are unsafe.

^ Majority of lows of all characters are unsafe + there is a way for Hwoarang to do grabs (either ff+2 or f+2+3) from flamingo stances and make it pretty much count as FLA grab.

First time I've heard of that. Any links?

EDIT: OK, just tested it out. Works only on RFLA?

haha - i wouldnt lie to you. but yea, technically it doesnt count as a FLA grab, because you have to delay a bit until the FLA is in its final frames but i believe it should work on both RFS and LFS

Hmmm, haven't tried to punish it with d/f+2 yet...

b+4; 4,3,3~f FLA; 3+4~f FLA; b+3 B!; dash d/b+3,3~f FLA; d+2 is not that bad, plus it leaves you for some solid oki...

Peace

if you want oki, then
d/f+2 ~blah~ B! d/b+33~f; d/b+33~f is the better oki.

i've only used b+4 because it has good range, but for whiff punish cd+3 is best.

but i suppose opinion is opinion aye

hmmm, to avoid any further misunderstandings, i use b+4 ON BLOCK not ON WHIFF... Damn stupid me, should have posted that right away
But can you punish u/f+3 with d/f+2 on block??

if you want oki, then d/f+2 ~blah~ B! d/b+33~f; d/b+33~f is the better oki

after bound two d/b+3,3~f are my most common & most favourite moves, cuz if they don't quickroll i add an extra 45dmg to the combo, plus it looks long & ubercool because most people think it's an uninterrupted combo, lol.

Peace

lol~ i read what you posted. you use b+4 after blocking lars uf+3.

d/f+2 works, i wouldnt recommend uf+4 cos its 20 frames, and lars uf+3 is -21, and since a few people wait for animation to finish rather than punish immediately, then yea you see what i mean.

im just stating what I,ME,MYSELF use b+4 for, hehehe

lol, thanks for clarifying that.

Now for some questions, how to punish a good (great) player??
I'm not familiar with her move list, but there is one move from her where she punches you to the ground and you immediately stand up, and after that she seems to have a guaranteed launcher. I think it works on ch only but imo thats cheap, since it's a 3 punch combo & launch WTF??
(If you people don't know what move i'm reffering to i'll post the correct notation later - internet's on college & Ps3's in the apartment lol)

i've played julia before, and julia can be a hassle for those who dont know her.

you mean 1,1,1. its 10 frame, -12 on block and on CH it puts a fall-on-your-ass stun, which can be teched. if not julia gets a d/f+2,1 and your f'ed up the ass a second time.

@ JaPong
Thanks man for taking my advice!
Here's where i got the idea from, it might help you with updating:
http://www.tekkenzaibatsu.com/forum...threadid=114491

I will post the punishers so that you can simply copy & paste them in your 1st post, and it would be nice for others to do so too.

Asuka
- reversal stance (or whatever it's called) - any low (i.E. d/b+4) or f,f+3

EDIT: f,f+3 must hit on end frames, otherwise it can be reversed. She can hold that stance max 2 sec's, so watch for the timing.

Peace!

Oh. I guess that's why I wasn't able to use it in LFLA. If you can still use your FLA moves at the frame when you're allowed to use the grabs, then, it they should count as FLA grabs.

Anyway, Hwoarang still can't grab in FLA like Baek.

thanx for giving some link specially for paul, I hate that character hehehe..
will continue to update the first post just like that..

for julia, i dont really encounter much julia players but I can say is that when she does ff+1,4, the 4 is high and you can evade or duck on it and punish it with ws2,1..

Can Asuka also reverse unblockables like d,b+3,4 or b,b+3, 4?

in general terms -

universal reversals [which can be chickened] can only reverse mid/high punches (no elbows) and kicks (no knees)

parries [which cannot be chickened] can stop mid, high and unblockables depending on the criteria of the parry.

afaik headbutts, item moves and butt-moves cannot be parried/reversed
