EDIT @ 3:15 - First round complete as well with some losers matches. Both KOR and Crow are in losers after the first match via DQ. Neither of them are present at the tournament, and mad calls have been made to them.

but what i gotta say is newegg can't run tekken tournies
this is by far the worst tourney i've ever been to.. sorry
But at first we're told to be there from 9am-10am to register/pick up our badges. so yeah got there around 920ish.. And there's a hugeee line, also the people that are taking care of registration literally took 5-10 minutes for one person. Lets not mention the CS teams ahead of us that took like 45 mins to get registered.. Also even for some that did register online/paid could not be found on their registered list..
So the tekken players are finally done registering and its around 1030ish. Then we got to play some "friendlies" on the console stage they had setup for us. (which was actually setup quite nicely, i cant say nothing bad about that. The whole event looked really good and probably was.. just not for tekken) So TomH was playing vs Filthie and wow.. Julia elbow combos were impossible.. iSW juggles.. throw them out of your combo list.
The event was supposed to start at 11-12 i believe. It started at 1230.. But didn't really get started til around 145-2pm.. but then we had to restart it due to issues. I personally wanted a refund of my $25 entry fee but nope.. once you paid that's it.. $6 for parking weren't to bad i think that was worth it to be able to chill at the whole event. But the lag was sooo bad that a fellow socal player JustFrameJames (mad props by the way) had to go out and buy HDMI cables with his own MONEY! But even after we got the cables there was still some lag, no where near as bad as before but definitely still noticeable. So tourney matches that already went on had to be replayed regardless of who won with the lag. So alot of people had to replay the matches, but Rip vs Avenger had to be replayed 3 times until RIp finally said no to the third one (he did win the first 2 times anyways). Lets not forget the rearranging of names in the brackets. OMG.. So yeah one of the guys that were setting up brackets didnt know who was playing next.. So after one match was done it took at least 10 minutes or more in between each match to get another one started. I remember playing 2 full games of casuals with filthie before the next match was called. So the tourney ends up not finishing until 630. Horrible..
Mad props to the placers still making it out with all that..

as myk said, the tourney was run horrendously. by far the worst run tournament i have ever seen or even heard of. i got there at 930, didnt get into the fuckin place until three hours later. we get in, the tvs lag like fuck. hdmi cables, still some lag, so the tvs get changed to 1080p from 720i (p >>>>>> i lagwise), then all is good imo, some people said still some lag.
some matches got replayed, but yes, there was like 10-15 minutes between sets. it was just ridiculous. i was tired as fuck from standing, and i pulled an all nighter to get there by 9. i shoulda fuckin walked in at 12 and it woulda been the exact same for me - absurd. i even registered online and paid online...
aside from the tournament being run like shit, i had fun playing and seeing socal again, along with everyone from tx. ggs to all. got a lot of ganny exp out of my matches with kor, ty and very ggs. omg ff2.
seriously, i love shopping at newegg.com, but i refuse to ever attend another one of their tournaments. crow and kor were missing from the tourney for 2-3 hours despite attempts to call them by multiple socal players. but, i dont blame them. i honestly regretted attending before i even played my matches. omg three fuckin hours in line...
