Apparently, ogre is doing pretty well with the koreans... despite being "crap" tier...

Signature : Darnnit guys! I just heard I just got randomly booked against Jack for Tekken 7! All that buildup we did from Tekken 5 went to waste...
: Wait? I thought we are booked to do a epic triple threat match at Tekken 7? I'm even devising the spots we were doing.
: Hey bro, not only that... both of us got future endeavored...
: This is some WCW sh*t going on... Who's booking this crap?

I so want my hands on TTT2 fully. This demo is just holding in the hype....I can see why DJ and Kaz are S...

EWGF ~ 5 is strong, close to its TTT1 counterpart.

Got to play a whole damn lot lot of TTT2 in seoul at Tekken Cafe (counterpart of green arcade, 40 TTT2 machines, open 24 hours or until nobody is playing anymore)

As for Kane's tier list.
S - kaz, hei, lars, dj, hwoarang
A - jc, bob, drag, leo, ak, zaf, bruce
B - bryan, marduk, jack, lee, nina, lili, steve, feng, jin, paul, anna, jinpachi, wang, capos, asuka, jun, law, miguel, lei, ganryu, yoshi, king
C - ogre, ling, raven, bears, alisa
D - roger, baek

I have to agree with it, although personally, id put JC to S tier, and lee to A tier. But that's just me. Some notes though:
-Lee ws+2,3~5 into Drag wr+2 is ridiculous
-Hwoarang feels very strong IMO, especially THAT tag juggle.
-JC has very good okizeme, especially after FC,df+4,3
-Kaz + hei = very powerful juggles without any regeneration. EWGF~5 is sick.

For my full report, pics and video of green arcade tekken cafe, you may see my post at the nina forums somewhere here

All the mixup possibilities you could imagine could be done by him. It was very fun to play him and master JFSR. However, once I saw that d/f+2 is basically the only move you need at high level with him, then all the fun fell apart. It became all about making that attack hit and reaping the rewards. I suppose you could play Hwoarang for the stuff that makes him difficult and you see that from many strong Hwoarang players (watching them makes me want to play him again), but any character with a d/f+2 can work purely on strong fundamentals and win. Maybe I am being unfair and just have an unjustified hatred for an attack that stole my fun, but that is how I feel about that.

Saying that d/f+2 is the only move he needs like like saying d/f+2~1 is the only move xiaoyu needs. That attitude holds this game back IMO. Watch this match:

Julia will always find some way to be strong, as long as she has 4~2>1 she will be a major threat to anyone. It's pretty much the only uncrushable low in the game, and forces the opponent to play at the range she wants to if the user has mastered hit confirming it.

Just to let you guys know about EWGF hitbox... I did a slide with Lee (FC,d/f,d,d/f+3) and my opponent did EWGF... they traded.

Yes, a high EWGF hit Lee in the middle of his slide animation... o_O!

NAMCO--YOU GO TOO FAR!!!

I hit Ling out of AOP so that doesn't surprise me.

Actually it makes me smile.

slide doesn't 'crush' instantly I think.

and you'll also hit ling out of aop if they attack - ie. aop 1+2, etc.

I've never, EVER had the slide hit by any high prior to that. Never happened to me once in the 6 and BR years... [not even Baek's 4,3,3~f crotch pickup of doom!]

Why is Kazuya considered S tier?
Based on the vids I saw the teams with Kaz mostly loose.
However I would love Kaz being finally top tier.

Kaz was top tier for quite some time up until BR...

You're basing it of mediocre play....

Kaz was top tier in Tag, DR, and 6.0

Murakumo I've gotten deathfisted out of slide....I didn't even go anywhere I got floated. This happened in BR via Brian H.

@ Pixel / 3L1 you both have points, but IMO it's somewhere between the two - if you literally just rely on df+2 you will get trashed, even Japanese Hwoarang Player Whose Name Escapes Me can't win matches entirely on df+2. You have to learn the character properly to make him competitive against good people.

However, he is still far too dependent on it, as almost all characters with a df+2 are, and it's one of the reasons I don't play him any more, and the prevalence of df+2 is still one of the things which makes the game wack.

Bruce Lee's best move = generic right uppercut!
Judoka / Brawler's best move = generic right uppercut!
One TKD fighter's best move = generic right uppercut!
The other TKD fighter's best move = generic right uppercut!

@dilly

well, i have had the odd bender throw out a hopkick at range two for no inexplicable reason other than being downs syndrome which has crushed my 4~2 for me to have a total dinosaur "WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!!!" moment

said player then responded by going "BUHH BDUUH TEKKENZ 6!!!"

sharia law should let me chop off his hands...

elbow, shotgun, MA, 4~2,1, 4 (-12 FFS) ftw
