iWS+4 is a great mid poke and does good damage, however it takes roughly 14 frames (13 on paper but in reality nobody is able to do it that fast) to come out, and at 14 frames Paul has D+1 (range + FC mixups) and d/f+1 (damage if you continue with the 1 + mix-ups).

It's not a bad move to use though.

Well, I'm pretty sure the qcf doesn't work because Jin doesn't have a roll dash so a qcf+4 will probably just give you f+4 (if he has a f+4 move or either just 4 if he doesn't). But yeah, not many characters have a crouch dash and a roll dash, though a few do like Heihachi for instance; but I don't think Jin does. So yeah, that's probably why the qcf doesn't work with him.

Paul's WS+4 can actually be performed by inputting qcf+4. For me, this makes the move easier to pull off, probably because of the fact that Paul is a sway character. It allows you to get up close and utilize this great mid poke a little more liberally.

That said, the only person I see use this (WS+4) pretty consistently in matches is ChetChetty. I know it's a great mid poke, so why don't more players utilize it? Paul is a little short on good, fast, safe mid strings and pokes.

cos d+1 does roughly the same job.

Also it's down to play styles too, i personally only use ws+4 as a punisher for ducking jabs or blocking d+4 and not really as a offensive move like chet does.
it's pretty bad on wiff too so if that gets side stepped you're prolly going up i the air.
Signature Bruck him for souf east, blud

look man the move doesnt track sidestep, but if you sidestep it will hit you
steves b+1 isint safe because it only auto guards high and mid, but you can cancel it and block all lows
Jaycees u/f+4,3 is launch punishable on block but if you try to punish it the 1 follow-up will hit you

Yeah, that's pretty much the same way I use WS+4 as well, as either a jab whiff punisher or a punisher for moves that put you in crouch that have a 14-15 frame recovery window. I probably should try to use it offensively some more and work it into my game; but I really just haven't taken the time to yet - especially out of the roll dash since Paul has other more useful tools out of that.

Everyone should use qcf4 more often. It's always been a good move.

how do you do Paul's demolition move?

The Just Frame move. I think the command is D2, 4, 1+2

Really?? You are posting THIS question???

Listen, first rule here at TZ is 'Read more than you post'

It seems to me that you just signed in and wrote this question. If you bother to actually READ this thread you will see that this question has been answered extremly thoroughly hundreds of times!!

^ Np.

You don't have to read all the posts (obviously the more you read the better your knowledge of Paul will get), but if you check the guide (posts 1-6 in this thread) you should be able to find an answer to most questions.

I've been having pretty good luck doing crouch dash into ws2 lately after pissing people off with cd3 and cd db4 X1000. Seems not too many characters can ws2 punish bad enough to make the risk reward on a blocked ws2 very bad.

To DrBhup666: Why so rude, man? Jeff asked a simple question, and BlackPriest was able to answer it in two sentences--compared to the paragraph you devoted to chastising Jeff. These forums are supposed to be for new and experience players/users alike.

To BlackPriest: Thanks for continuing to be one of the most helpful people on TZ.

A suggestion: Would it be possible to sticky a thread devoted entirely to executing Paul's JF moves? We seem to get a ton of questions regarding these moves, and it might be beneficial for everyone if we just created a thread dedicated to that topic. I'd be happy to do it if I know it'll get stickied. And who knows? It might even stop the bickering.

I see no reason to sticky a thread explaining how to to 1 or 2 moves. I'd rather have the question keep getting asked and answered in an existing thread rather than clutter up the page.

big_o_boss: Thanks man.

Well, I already put a few sentences for newbies on how to pull of demo man in the guide. I?ll add explanations for f,f+2:1 and CH 4 combos too if that avoids questions getting over and over, but I agree with Ogre, I don?t think there is a need for a separate thread. If new ppl don?t read the guide before asking their questions chances are they don?t read any other thread neither.

But thanks for offering to help.

doesn't every character get atleast a hop kick after ws+2?, pretty sure they do.

if it works for you though go for it.
