I've watched the match and it was great.

if there's anything I noticed about abel in comparison to jundding is abel's method of dealing bobs. To me, it seems that Jundding's gameplay hasn't changed during the mastercup 7. Id say he made risks/rewards to win for most reasons. I could say the same when matched against a bob player.

Abel has a specific method though. he uses d+1 after d/f+1,1 or standing 1 to beat out bob in a punishment fight, and low pokes to push his opponents pack. He has good spacing as well, preventing the risks of getting grabbed. Basically he uses his keep off moves quite well, and makes some space advantage to work out his strategy. Usually capos end up being against the wall, because we provide too much space for opponents to go in. But abels pokes and mixups makes some attempts to force the opponents to retreat and setup a whiff punish or CH strategy. Unlike jundding, he doesn't rely on d/f+2 too much.

I feel sorry for misty now. I dunno who this Jack Bauer is, but as you can see, he ranks his capos better.

I am almost speechless.

Jundding, I mean, everything just went down on him now. It's like after all that hype he did in mastercup 7 has diminished. His gameplay is done, it ain't impressive anymore, at first I thought to myself that he would rise up after a few matches since it's only been a while since I saw him play but now, he is hardly a competitor, everyone else was catching up on him and defeating him on purpose. And what comes with it is still his pride of not using the SS+3 move. seriously not one ss+3?!? he has the nerve to use SS+3+4 strings but not ss+3? what's his problem?? seriously that's terribly annoying, there were many situations he couldve used it, but no, he's just risks with all the moves the opponents already know. When you're playing with capos, you don't wanna limit your character who's mixup is his specialty and just use only a few specific moves, otherwise be prepared to get owned by high punishing characters in the long run. and this is just what happened.

these are his videos, all of his poor performances he's displaying just this week. i mean, ugh, I'm just passing my frustration here. man, the guy really needs to fix up his game and add more moves to his arsenal. Maybe then he had a more chance to get back in shape. That's all.

Why do you like SS+3 so much? I don't use it much. I usually get hit out of it a lot.

wut? SS+3 is:

> ~7 on block, safe on pick up punishers
> has alot of move extensions
> makes a great SS 3~D setup after RLX+2 combo ender
> for most characters with strong defense like turtles or keep out moves, you can use it to sneak under or close the gap
> an alternate move for SS 4 when opponents are good at low parry
> good tracking

It usage is better when you're in a spacing game, or itching to go the offensive side. Its not really a bad move. if you are having trouble breaking opponent's defense, this is definitely a safe move to use, other than risking yourself rushing straight to your opponent to get some pokes, or an elbow, or d+3~4 or a risk reward move

Yeah ss+3 is pretty good. Mixing up ss+3 with ss+3~d is a good way to keep opponents guessing. Also it works very well after doing a tag buffered ender with your partner. I agree with most of the points except for mixing up with ss+4... I like to use ss+3 at a further range than ss+4 hits...

So after I get my ss+3 blocked, what do you usually do? Try to interrupt their next hit with a RLX 4? Evade their hit with a RLX f+3+4? Let them whiff their pick up punishment and then RLX launch them?

Look at what move your opponent is using to hit you and react appropriately. Here's for example some flowcharts I have against certain characters (first number is damage taken if you don't move, second and third is damage taken if you get put into airborne status)

BAEK
d+4,3,3 (i12 l,m,m 7_4+5+7_4+5+7)
After ss3_d+2,3_fcd+3+4~d_HSPd+3 getup and block second hit (can also attempt after b+3,3)
d+2 (i21 m 21_15_na)
After HSPd+3 do RLX4~3 for whiff into juggle
After ss3_d2,3 do RLX4 for counter hit
d+3 (i16 m 12_8+5+10_na)
Best to stay still and eat one hit
BRYAN
db+2 (i15 m 13_9+juggle into B!?_na)
After d+2,3 do RLX4~3 for whiff into juggle, must be far range on transitions for similar effect.
db+3 (i16 l 11_7_na)
Do airborne move to reduce damage
f+4,1 (i18 m,m 15_10+10+B!_na)
After HSPd+3 do RLX4~3 for whiff into juggle
After ss3_d+2,3 do RLXf+3+4 for whiff into techable juggle
After HSPd+3 do RLX4 for counter hit

Etc etc. The only two things I can say about ss+3 are: 1. the most you use ss+3, the more surprising ss+3~d transitions become, and vice-versa. The timing of the two can really throw people off. And 2. Ideally you want ss+3 to get blocked at its furthest point.

I use SS+3~D more than I use SS+3, but I've been playing with SS+3. It's been working pretty good with okizeme on floors and walls. If you manage to hit, then you have +7 frame advantage. Does it wall splat? I think it does, and that's good at the wall with okizeme and wall pressure.

At the wall, after a juggle and the opponent tech rolls, I'm already in SS+3 during their tech, so by the time they recover, they have to guess to block mid or low. If they block mid, then SS+3~D will get you in for RLX mix-ups. If they anticipate a low, and SS+3 catches them ducking, then you're at +7 and in RLX. RLX + 4 is good and is guaranteed if they try and counter. Then, after RLX + 4, I try the RLX + 4, 3+4~4 to go into HSP, and then use the b+3 low kick from HSP. Or you can just have RLX + 4 CH, then go into mix-ups with either d+4 or just a stand alone 3 (counterhits for massive damage) SS+4, or u/f+3.

Slipkicks is crazy with u/f+3, because people usually anticipate the second part of the string. So, if you use u/f+3, try recovering after the first hit and going for another u/f+3.

Here's an idea. u/f+3, u/f+3, u/f+3, b+2. <--- I've connected that entire string in rank.

Here's Abel's match against JDCR in TPT 2015. It has built up a controversy on JDCR's loss when he blogged about his poor stay during the tournament.

Since Tekken 7 will be out soon, and there hasn't been much activity lately on this thread, I wanted to post something that'll get us pumped for T7. We all hope that they'll put Capos in the game, whether it's a new character altogether or Eddy, Christie or even Tiger. I know these matches have been posted before, but here's some 1 vs. 1 good ol' Tekken 6 Christie action. I don't know who this player is, but he's definitely a killer with this winning streak. Enjoy.

Someone also posted these before, but they linked to a Japanese streaming site that took forever to load, and someone conveniently uploaded those same Shanghai TTT2 videos to YouTube, so I'll link 'em here once more. I love the way this "NoName" person plays, he's got that eternal flow style with the Capos.
