EARLY 2017 EDIT

Now that the game is out, we'll be able to actually go through the list(which as you see is originally from 7.0, and it started early 7.0 at that), see if anything no longer works(possible), and then actually find out more optimal combos which will take some time I imagine.

(Drag non wall-carry, non floorbreak, staple/BnBs off of basic launchers right now seem to be as simple as launch, f+4,4,3, b+4,3, S!...with the easy ender of f,f, d+4,4, and the intermediate ender of f,f, 3,1,2.)

Quick Edit of Punishers:

10f: 2,1/1,3/1,1
12f-13f: 4,1
14f: Short range keep using 4,1, long range/wall b+3, perfect qcf+1+2(tight)
15f: df+2
17f: f+1+2
18f: qcf+1
22f: qcf+2

WS Punishment:
11f: WS+4
12f: WS+1,3/WS+1+2
15f: WS+2
23f: uf,n+4

Combos Seen in Videos

I took this first batch from the Sugamo Kumite(the first one.) I'm probably going to go through the 2nd one for the next batch. Note: Naturally, this is early. Stuff subject to change. No damage calculations yet(damage isn't even shown in practice mode yet), etc. Like many of the T7 combo threads this is just a basic rundown, but I thought it would be nice to have a listing of stuff.

Not all have full S! completions yet after the S!. I wanted to include them, but leave them open with ''...?'' as the notation for now until we can confirm they don't work(I do think there will be enders but there is still a ton of combo experimenting going on.) And of course not all of these are optimized yet.

He has more than this of course(the d/b+3 section is very thin here, he has several full combos, WR2 is thin, backswing, etc), but I'm doing it video by video, so it'll fill out.

We have links to all the matches these vids were pulled from in the Video thread, but I didn't do the direct combo links yet since this is so early. (That and I've been a little thin on time, so I at least wanted to get something.) The potato quality video made a couple of these needing squinting, but I tried to triple-check the really fuzzy ones(not too many luckily.) There are 2-3 combos NOT from the first Kumite listed here, but they were already listed in the video thread so I just popped them here.

I think a ton is going to come down to remembering not to use S! attacks as WB!, it's going to be hard to deprogram that.

Shit, I still occasionally use the d/b+2 series like it's DR.

3 of his 4 S! moves had WB! before(all but b,1, 2), think they still do. Pretty sure I remember b+4,3 WB! before in a vid or two, have not seen f+1+2 used at a wall in that way yet so can't confirm myself if they changed the WB! properties of that or not. 4,4 I recall like in a vid had WB! still in a combo but I need to rewatch some videos. I'll be going through more this weekend to pull more combos off though. (Keep in mind right now I think there are only a couple stages with breakable walls, which I think are the Jungle and the Twilight Conflict.)

But agreed for the ones that end up still WB! for sure. On the Jungle stage I've seen f,f+3 used after certain S! moves(I am pretty sure b+1,2 hit too low, I think it was b+4,3 or f+1+2, I'll be seeing it soon enough) to balcony break and continue the assault.

Will take a little practice and muscle memory reprogramming for sure getting it just right now, but it'll come in time.

that last one is hilarious. 3x qcf+2's(well, launch + 2), sure why not? (Done on LC I noticed too, so size thing might be in play.)

Any of the WR2 enders open up either a potential A. Flop-bound game, or B. Failed/no tech, which gives a stomp instead for an extra chunk.

i almost feel greedy asking for f,f+4 to crush something again at this point. almost.

Added some combos up top from the new video under appropriate launcher areas. We finally have a noted u/uf+2 combo: u/uf+2, b+4,3, S!, f+3~df CDc, f+1, f+4,4,3. Nothing too much different in terms of combo follow up.

I also scratched out a move list from that video as well with some random commentary, but I'd rather clean it up and double check for TZ since it's more official than my blog where I just sort of speculate stuff.

are you sure a cc is needed after d/b 3?
in tekkken revolution he was standing after that so the combo was easier. I thought they'd keep that.

According to the other thread(the 8-ish page one), they had reportedly brought back the need to cc, so I've been writing it in until otherwise stated just in case.

They did revert a couple of the Revolution changes.

When I'm playing T7 I still CC after d/b+3. Now admittedly I'm not positive if I actually do have to CC but I do know when I used to do d/b+3, CC, d+2 in TR, the combo would hit on a weird axis and drop randomly. That has yet to be the case in T7, so I assume that "buff" has been reverted like Azaael has said.

Hey I have a noob question about dragunov's f+3~df CDc ender. What is the best way to connect f+3 after a S! (like df+2 f+4,4,3 b+4,3 S! f+3...)? I always get ff +3. Do I have to cancel the dash somehow? Sorry for such a noob question. :p

I haven't played T7 yet so Tyler would probably say more here if they changed something, but after you do the dash forward to close the gap(it seems that launch, f+4,4,3, b+4,3, S! requires a dash to do f+3~df) do you make sure the stick is back to neutral before doing the f+3? Only needs to be at N for a split moment so long as the 'N' registers in the game.

Easiest is to just do f,f,b,f+3. If you do f,f,n,f+3 you can still get fff3 aka regular ff3, + it takes longer.

I was just messing around in practice mode today and I came up with this.
CH u/f+1, f,f, qcf+2, 3,1, f+1, f+1+2 S! f,f, f+3~d/f CDc 4,4

~50% lifebar VS Dragunov. I'm not sure if it works on other characters.

Oooh, thanks. Looks nice. Open ground too by the look which is sweet.

Wonder how it would work on smaller characters. I'd guess it should work on King/Shaheen given they're in his size category(I think Shaheen is anyway), but never know of course. Probably tougher to test live since uf+1 isn't like his most spammed move ever but that'll come in time. Thanks for this!
