1. Why did they make df+2 -13 on block!? It already has a crappy range and the move is pretty useless (a poor imitation of Lars TTT2U df+2).

2. 3+4 is not a launcher whereas Paul and Dragunov can

3. B+4, 2 is not a natural combo!

1. It's 14f for what it's worth and he has a magic 4.

2. It's only supposed to be a wall combo move (when nothing else would hit) I think. Dragunov what?

3. It's a safe, long ranged, delayable mid mid that gives STB.

He did get the short end of the stick

Kaz df2 - homing, CH stun for 13 frames, 14f, -12
Katarina df4 - Knee, CH launcher, has tracking to her right(?), safe
Mishima df2 - CH launcher, safe (Devil Jin's is superior)
Hwoarang f1+2 - CH launcher, safe, decent range
Chloe b4 - Knee, CH launcher, safe
Alisa b4 - Knee, CH launcher, unsafe but has slight pushback, good range
Asuka b4 - Knee, CH launcher, safe, has followups
Eddy df2 - Elbow, CH launcher, safe, guaranteed qcf3 on hit

All these moves are at about equal speed if not faster (Kazuya) - why Claudio's is -13 does not make sense, even if 14f

How do you get the flying punch move ( fff+2 ) to come out so fast?

When I'm watching pros play Claudio, they are doing this move pretty close to the other player. Anytime I try to do it, the ff+2 move comes out. I've looked for other posts on this, and someone suggested the iWR tutorial where it shows Armor King and how to get his throw to come out while he's jabbing. I guess I just don't understand how that applies to Claudio's flying punch.

If anyone has any tips it would be greatly appreciated.

It applies to fff2 because it's the exact same technique, just a different input at the end. So instead of fff2+4, it's fff2. Works for any running move as well, on any character.

I found this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-56wCPItbNc

About 15 seconds in, the Claudio on the right does a flying punch from what looks like a standing position. In the iWR video I mentioned before, he talks about inputting the first f within the jab animation, and completing the motion by the time the jab is over so the throw pops out immediately. I get that, but when is this player using that technique in this situation?

In the same video, the other Claudio ( in white ) does the exact same thing at about 1:38 in.

He is literally point-blank to the other guy and throws the move out. That I can tell, he isn't doing anything to buffer the fff input, but I could be wrong which I why I'm asking for help.

It's called instant while running for a reason: being that you're doing the fff motion as fast as possible, almost making it instant.

Look at this guy's inputs to get an idea of the timing, then try it yourself.

Hello. New to the forum. Was wondering if there was any juicy wall tech available for claudio and if there's any way to practice it?

Tried setting practice to:
Wall start
Cpu action 1 stand
Cpu action 2 guard all
Cpu get up option quick roll left/right

Then checked around and saw that wall splat d/f+3,2 jump over d+2, ws1,1, u/f+4, f+3, T! wr2 was a thing but I couldn't get the d+2 to connect?

Is there some sort of timing or a video that I could watch to show me how to execute this? Or does it no longer work on console/pc

It still works, but it's super inconsistent.

W! df3,2 > delayed jump over > BT d1 ws1,1 uf4 etc

Helps if you step in a direction before jumping over: makes it somewhat consistent depending on the opponent's teching option (left/right)

Thank you! I know it's a long shot but would there be a video of it posted anywhere?

There's a lot of claudio footage so I assume it's just a matter of going through and finding it.

Gotta be SSL before CH 4, f+2 will hit. Only on certain characters.

Just do CH4,3 or CH4, 2, dash b+3 etc

What are Claudio's main pokes? Besides I guess f+3, 21, b+4, db+3, SS+4 what else can he use for offense? Feel like he relies quite a lot on his hopkick and movement.

I guess you mean b+3 and 1,2 as 2,1 is not a very good poke imo, still useable.

b+1 and d/f+3,2 are useable pokes too. d/f+3,1 is quiet good and scary near wall with the wall splat threat. Hit confirm the one after the d/f+3 is doable.

d/f+1 is useful too as your opponent will try to ckeck if you do the second one.

For low poke, d+4 (pitiful damage but fast), d+3 and d+2 are your main low pokes. SS+4 started to be effective near wall.

Best range for Claudio is at mid distance, where you can whiff punish with his hopkick and 1+2,1+2,f+2 at a bigger distance.

Claudio has poor mixup potential, that is his main drawback along with damage.

11: ws4
12: 21, ws11
13: b3, df4
14: b2, df32 (NC?)
15: uf4, df12, ws2
