I'm gonna go out on a whim here and say that his ws2 isn't going to instant screw like it did in ttt2.

here's to hoping he'll have his old ws2 and maybe I'll start playing devil jin again ...

quite a few things ...

- i15, vs old i14
- shitty followup - ff3,1. in previous tekkens, he could have combos like ws2, ewgf, ff31, etc ... while you can still get a dewgf followup, it's not always practical. dewgf would also have to be followed up with a jab in ttt2.
- when hit at a distance, dewgf and ff3,1 followups are not possible
- no combo on side or bt opponents

Kaz' 1,1,2 doesn't splat I'm pretty sure.

Fairly certain DVJ's won't either considering they both have b+1,2.

Kaz's 1,1,2 does wall splat. It was on knee's stream the other day.

old ws+2 was definitely a better move than current ws+2

tho current ws+2 has 1 small niche wherein it reaches really far

still, i think dj shouldnt really be buffed in any way or form.. he's strong enough as it is (provided he doesnt receive any nerfs) but then, he should still be at par with other mishimas.. so if hei and kaz receive 112 wallsplat, then so should he

I suppose DJ will be only a transformation of Jin, when you have rage.
EWHF on mid which juggles on NH (less pushback and punishable -10), Jin Hellsweep animation, but finish with heavens gate.
Of course he will have lasers, fly, cancans and some new OP moves (Jinpachi's u+4 maybe).
New b+4, because Kazuya already have it.
We'll see if I'm right.

His hellsweep in DR was better too.

I probably won't even play him, but I think they should replace some of the lesser used DJ moves with a few of Jinpachi's.

I watched the video on Knee's YT channel. Kaz did 1,1,2 and it doesn't W! either.

I certainly would like to see FLY being incorporated more into combos. u4~U, FLY 1 would be good for a soon screw attack, or somebody can be an evil bastard and make it float like in Tekken Revolution and then follow it up with a screw attack. Also, a way to combo into FLY 2, like in Soul Calibur V.

As for potential screw attacks:

- ff4
- 2,2 (imagine EWGF, ff3,1~ff, 2,2 SA!, ender)
- bf2,1,df2 (now the df2 would be his TTT2 ws2 animation into screw attack)
- FLY 1
- b1,2 (although I would prefer to have a regular knockback for wall carry)

Whether it's better to change his TTT2 ws2 or not, I don't know for sure, but my thought process is:

You're playing a Mishima. You would get a better reward for doing a more difficult punish such as crouch cancel EWGF or d3+4, and for the easier ws2 you would get a smaller combo, so you would get a screw attack launch right off the bat.

Would be nice to have a ws+2 that actually launched like Jins.

I could see 22 doing a screw attack. Devil kaz has it i think.

Something like ewgf ff31~ff 22 s! ENDER.

Im just glad dj is back!

it'll be cool if they gave Devil Jin Jin's old hellsweep from Tekken 3 (the low sweep into high? i believe) i can see that being his S! attack. I can also see his 1+4 2 4 being a S! attack

I've been following the discussion regarding his screw attacks and I noticed the notation S! brings conflict to the notation for spikes, which is S!. Is there an official notation for screw attacks yet? Is it SA! ? Is it K! (kirimomi)? Is it T! (tailspin)?

It's labeled with an S on the official Tekken website in the movelists.

I don't think there is a notation for spikes, they just leave it out.
