Hey guys, want to share a back tech trap, not sure if it is known but afaik it isn't. Can't make a vid so had to post it sorry if its too long.

If you knock down an opponent in any position other than fuft mostly there will be a small window where they can't block if they getup with back. This is universal and all characters have some moves causing this state but are usually unsafe or launchers that lead to dmg anyway. Also not having a scary option vs staying or rolling on the ground nullifies the mixup. well King differs here cuz of gthrows. We will be using fast mids most notably f+2,1. Timing differs according to distance and kings recovery from the move.

King moves that cause this state:
-CH d/f+2,1 - CH d/b+3 - FC d/f+1 (all launchers so ignore)
-CH d/f+3,4 (not a good move and only a mid wake up kick is possible )

so far not much, same as other characters but next is where king is different

King throws that cause this state:
-Tombstone - Boston crab (together with u+1+2 you get all three breaks at the wall, this is very strong cuz if they attempt any wakeup f+2,1 will wall splat and if they stay or roll gthrows, kinda 50,50)
-DDT f+3
-Rock bottom (weird side d/f+3 and d/f+1,2 more consistent than f+2,1)
-Irish whip (both throw extentions get capital punishment for a full juggle, this also makes 2+4 extention more useful since it will scare people from wake up giving more time for gthrows)
-Both normal throws and Palm upper to suplex
-Argentine side throw
-Both normal back throws
-All extensions from ultimate tackle
-Right crouch throw
-Shoulder cracker and bow&arrow gthrows
-Flapjack air throw
-1+3 air throw at the wall (thx to J king for this one)
-All crouch dash multi throw extensions except RDC
-CH convict kick - Olympia slam
-Frankensteiner
-Left leg reversal - Arm reversal

If they try stand up option you hit them from the back giving you f+2,d+1,2 into a full bt burning knuckle juggle for lots of dmg (few cases will not allow this due to king long recovery from some moves like tombstone where you can only get d/f+2 & d/f+1)

All this makes your throw oki wayyyyyy stronger but for more risk

more to come on this tech

now we add rage drive to the back tech mixup.

you can hit with a rage drive after the following (you need to execute RD really fast):

-f+3 ddt
-Arm reversal
-Boston crab
-Bow & arrow ground throw
-Leg extensions on ultimate tackle
-STF & Scorpion death lock
-Struggle combination
-1+3 air throw at the wall ( thx to J king for this one)

however the mix up here changes a bit,RD will launch back (weird side launch adjust your juggle) and attack wakeups and will spike staying on the ground but will miss rolling on ground and get blocked by standing up.

but standing up will be too scary since they can get bt launched by f+2,d+1,2.
(realistically it will be rare they would choose this unless its someone used to getting up like this always, if so launch)

So its mostly between a RD launch and a ground throw.

more to come on this tech

Some wall stuff for a change in between the back tech posts

-Irish whip, destroy, shoulder cracker gthrow , all extensions from heel hold multi and normal 1+3 throw at the wall will grant you the same back tech mixup as tombstone or Boston crab.
Just to give you an idea how strong this is if you keep guessing right the 50,50 , tombstone, Boston crab, 1+3 throw and kings bridge all leave them in a ground throw position that will reset the mixup.

-Irish whip,RD,Burning knuckle doesn't need a slight side at the wall (thx to Lilmajin for the original)

-UB F+1+2 wall splat, 2,1 , 1,2 , figure four gthrow. gives 101 dmg

- 3 to 4 jag steps from the wall Atlas hammer into UB F+1+2 wall splat will give you the highest wall combo dmg at this range. I believe it was 85 dmg with wall throw vs 67 dmg if you do atlas hammer into iws3, d/f+4, 3 , wall throw.

Now we apply the tech trap to juggles.
King juggle ender f+2,d+1,2 puts opponents in the same mixup state only now they have a 3rd option since its a juggle tech side rolling.

This is easily available through these 2 juggles:

Low launcher, ws+2,2 , b+2,4 , f+2,d+1,2
CH f,f+1 , f,f+1 , d/f+4,3 , 1 , f+2,d+1,2

All options apply as before regarding all wake ups you just have to dash towards them.(you get 2 g throws if they lay or roll on the ground and if you have RD apply after for gg dmg)
Only difference is that they can quick side roll now. If you can read that you can either use running 3+4 for nice dmg (thx to Lilmajin) or easy 1+4.
Or my recommendation start running towards the opponent anyway if you see them quick side rolling
you get a throw mid mixup where they can't interrupt it with any attack (I personally like f+1+4 here also UB F+1+2 catches people a lot here) otherwise go for the normal tech mixup.

For the last part, I tried to get f+2,d+1,2 to connect after a normal screw in kings juggles. I used an easy jug and max one:
Launcher, f+3 , d/f+4,3 , d/f+2,1 screw f+2,d+1,2
Launcher, f+1+4 , d/f+4,3 , 1,2 , f,f+1 screw f+2,d+1,2

well i couldn't get it consistently and would appreciate any help here. My findings:
-You can't get this on Jack or Gigas
-I get it on Kuma/panda consistently
-Most male characters need either a deep dash near their legs or doing f+2,d+1,2 as soon as possible.
-You can only connect this on female characters by doing it really fast after a quick dash.

Well hope I was helpful with this tech trap setup. sorry for the long posts

First time i gave your posts a proper read kamatcho. I've been thinking about making a video for BK tech trapping and the only 2 reasonable scenarios besides Lil Majin's BT one are the set ups created by b+2,4 as well as f+2,d+1,2. I'll be looking into them and develop them further once i'm done with some other videos.

Attention King players! Over the last 1-2 months I've been producing videos showing off some of Kings tools. My most popular video looked at using his reversal against Katarina's kick strings, so I've decided to share it with you all. Please check it out (and the other vids as well). Any constructive criticism is appreciated, ideally via Youtube. Enjoy

Sorry didnt check the forums for a while,

-CD multi throws are used a lot specially at the wall to mask the u+1+2 throw , they give the back tech setup and are really strong for wallsplats(standing heel hold extensions specifically)
- f+3 and rock bottom throws give you a hop knee launch with good timing
-bow and arrow and shoulder cracker gthrows are also used in normal gameplay
-rage drive after f+3 and heelhold multi extensions(stf and scorpion deathlock) .

-normal back throws are character specific, eg. i play vs lots of yoshis, after his ff+4 and kinsho 1+2 they use b+3 or 4 to spin back and escape the punish or for mixup ,f+ normal throw will give a back throw if they use the b spin.

These are the most useful setups imo, they come from moves that are used normally in kings gameplay,
i also like tombstone and boston crab at the wall but i didnt include them above since they are hard to connect at high lvls of play (but majin got a naked u+1+2 to connect on jdcr at the wall 😊 so they are usable still)
