Go to practice mode and set the option to quick tech roll right and you'll find yourself unable to land ewgf.

I tried it and was able to land it if kazuya was to the opponent's left even slightly. But I think that the CPU may be tech rolling wrong. Can someone verify?

I land it once on P.Jack, and Crazy Dongpal has been doing it since T6 even on xiaoyu.(unless they changed 1+2 properties),1+2~dewgfx3 is a full combo. (at least it was in T6)

its not guaranteed since the move existed it can always be techrolled to the right. even db+2 at wall is not always guaranteed (but most time it is). may guaranteed of axis but this move is a punisher so you never be of axis. right?

Dude. Just try it. You can't hit the combo if the opponent techs to their right.

Actually... I tried it last night, and it's VERY possible.

Myth debunked. Tried techrolling both ways and you can always do it. It's just freakishly hard.

This presents a scary idea - Kaz / Lars - 1+2 DEWGF~5 d/b+21 into bounce. If you could get it consistently, this could be scary. 12f full combo punish.

1+2, EWGF etc was always guaranteed since DR it was just really hard to connect

Not guaranteed. Opponents can tech out, unless close to walls where db+2 can hit in close.
The time it takes for you do a deep enough dewgf is too long. Opponents always tech.
I think Namco just thought 1+2, dewgf combos are just too easy for high damage.
Just think, (ch) df+2, 1+2, dewgf, b+2,4, 1+2+5 TA juggles easy to do and high damage.
Wouldn't have to learn (ch) df+2 pewgf juggles at all then.

So 1+2, dewgf stuff combos in TT2? Didn't combo in BR.

it works if they techroll clockwise, but if you put techroll to counterclockwise, then the combos do not work.
this same concept goes for Bryan's normal hit 3+4 into dash db2 combo. it will work if the opponent techs clockwise, but not counterclockwise.

in main man's video of him vs steve, u can see that the steve player techrolls clockwise ... if someone can make a video of 1+2, dewgf or 1+2, b2,4 with techroll on counterclockwise on normal axis then I'll be really interested.

I haven't tested myself, but if Gandido says it works now then I believe him. Like I said, he's a mishima player I have a lot of respect for. I know it wasn't guaranteed in T6, but apparently they decided to give 1 or 2 frames that the ewgf will pick-up before the tech roll can be done in TTT2.

Gandido if you're around, any chance you could kindly upload a video demonstrating 1+2~ DWEGF~5 sample combo, in no way am I doubting you, I remember following your Devil jin oki vids back in BR.
For now I'll be trying this, seems exciting to try and pull off and maybe compare with moku-kaz.
