More n00b questions: Does df1+2 actually have crush properties, or does it just have a tendency to go under high sometimes? If it does crush, anyone know the window for it?

No, either d/f+2, d/f+1... or d/f+2,1. I never use u+4 simply because I do probably 1 d/f+2 for every 49 d/f+2,1 I use. I use d/f+2 as a check/just throw shit out and d/f+2,1 as all around punish (e.g. whiff, frames, stuff animations, etc.)

Finding a difficult spot when it comes to sidestep punishing with d/f+2. Sometimes even an immediate d+1 will whiff at certain angles. Ideas? Suggestions?

df2 isn't as great as people make it up to be... You'll just have to use df32.

I don't have a problem when SS'ing and using d/f+2,1. It's only once your to their side or further does everything start to fall apart. Remember, if you're to their back more than their side u/b+1,2 is free and it's faster than d/f+2.

Yeah, d1 is going to be your go-to move to hit them out of that bullshit. For relax, his stomp (grounded d4) works, too. Keep in mind that AOP~d will go under d1, though. I'm sure her side rolls probably evade it, too, if timed properly. And, of course, if you think you have the time or you predict something, you can do any of Jinpachi's low's or ground-hitting mids.

I would imagine iws3 would do the trick as well. Long range. Beefy and it should pop them up for a more damaging mini-combo. I'll test tonight. I'm fairly certain it will knock Ling right out of AOP (everything knocks her out of that stance these days...)

~ you are limited in what you can do by how much you are ready to do

Put in everything you got to push yourself beyond your limits to a place where there are no limits and you will be ready for anything.

After watching Aris' jinpachi tutorial I think I am seriously overlooking his df1+2.

Honestly I don't know how to use it despite all his advice. I find it slow although it tracks but usually I get interrupted. I mean should I just throw it out there as an anti ss move and nothing else?

Yeah, anti-SS and wake-up. Or, really, any time you find yourself in a situation where you feel that they have to guess you 50/50. It's super good.

Does someone agree that Jinpachi is NOT such a good character as the tier lists were saying?
I think when the game came out everyone thought he was great, but after some time playing with him, his flaws seem to be bigger than his pros.
He has no dash (OMG that sucks so bad), he lacks of good safe pokes, not a low starter, no special/real damaging grabs, his best moves are high (except for d/f+1+2, and u+4?)...
Well, I just get a lot more wins with my other characters, that's all.

PD.I'm not a high level player. To give you an idea, my online rank is "Fighter" atm.
