I wanted to compile together some Dragunov matches from Youtube.

Given that there were lots from the earlier releases, I wanted to narrow down 'Stuff After Mid-March' or around the official release.

This sort of thread I think might die out a bit after T7's western release, but for now I think it might be interesting to have, and in a separate spot from all of the heavy tech threads and such so it doesn't clutter them up.

Many of these matches showcase Dragunov's massive, massive damage potential. Just touching an enemy nowadays usually renders 50+% of their lifebar gone pre-wall or pre-stomp.

I decided to post the fights like this in case people wanted to see particular matchups, fights vs. the CPU for more messing around, etc(in Knee's stream anyway, most of the rest are vs. stuff.)

Knee's Stream, 3/30/2015

Note: Knee sometimes experiments in these matches, and they aren't always full-bore competition, but the experimenting is honestly what I like to see. Also spoiler alert; the announcer says his full name again finally!

https://youtu.be/_TlGbRGfPls?t=13268 Dragunov Matches Start. End about 4h19 mins.

3:42:20 vs. Hwoarang

3:44:00 vs. CPU Leo

3:47:13 vs. CPU Claudio

3:48:40 vs. Kazuya

3:52:25 vs. Feng

3:55:40 vs. Kazuya(x2, with Kaz revenge matching)

4:02:33 vs. CPU Claudio

4:03:45 vs. CPU Lili

4:05:35 vs. CPU Heihachi

4:07:00 vs. Law(did his new elbow launcher beat a PC or was that just some of the random slowdown the game gets?)

4:09:15 vs. CPU Heihachi

4:11:30 vs. Alisa(x2, with Alisa revenge matching. Knee does a lot of WR2-Stomp floor breaks in the second match which does a chunk alone and then can tailspin after.)

4:17:3X vs. CPU Kazumi

I didn't really add much commentary to these except for the odds and ends, though there's definitely some nice stuff in these, I'm more concentrating on getting them sort of collected first.

Working on getting the Kumite stuff together now. I'll expand the post.

Kumite, 03-21-2015. Features Nobi tearing stuff up; he easily takes home the most wins.(He eventually goes 10-1 in the first 11 matches with 9 wins in a row and throws the last CPU fight. I guess to give others a turn. He plays a couple more going a total of 13-2.)

The quality of this one isn't as good due to the stream.

Vs. Chloe

Vs. Lars

Vs. Leo

Vs. Paul

Vs. Kaz

Vs. Alisa

Vs. Feng

Vs. Feng

Vs. Chloe

Vs. Chloe

Vs. Lars

Vs. Kazuya

Vs. Feng

Vs. Leo

I think after this I'm going to try to stick to decent quality +, but Nobi's showing was awesome enough in this that I wanted to post it.

Also-due to how long some of these can get, I'll probably stick to stuff like Knee's streams, things like this, or other like Yellow Rank/13th Dan + Dragunov matches which I think will give better overall info.

Knee's Stream, April 1st:

Vs. Feng CPU

Vs. Law CPU (Shows off qcf+2, f+2,4, f+1+2, S!, u/f+4, d+4,4 at one point. About 40%-ish or so I'd say. Did it on an open field, would like to see the d+4,4 finish at the wall.)

Vs. Kazuya(These are all basically vs. Kazuya. He wins most of them by far)

Going to update this post for a few more things(not going to make a new post each and every update.) Also I think after like the first month I'll probably be a lot more choosy with the matches. Probably even before then. I basically just want to give a good bunch of stuff while we're still waiting on the rest of the frame data, combo data, etc.

Kumite from Sugamo(Note: Nobi makes another showing here but the stream isn't the best quality). It IS worth a look despite the quality IMO to see the tricks done. (It's easy to tell, btw, which matches are Nobi's, with his rainbow customs. )

https://youtu.be/XOq0gazunwc?t=1956 One match here
https://youtu.be/XOq0gazunwc?t=4739 Two matches here(Love in Round 3 of the Asuka match how Asuka recovers from the backroll and Nobi comes in with the cancelled d/b+3 throw)

EDIT: Saw you edited. Thanks.

Will start looking through that Twitch stream. (Note: it's a long stream and I'm not sure if your the only Dragunov there so I'm just going to put times, you'll know which Drags are yours I'm guessing.)

Tyler 2k's vids!

http://www.twitch.tv/tekken/v/3990163?t=1h13m12s Vs. Lili(I'm guessing at the start you were asking to test backswing by the look)

http://www.twitch.tv/tekken/v/3990163?t=1h16m54s Some stuff going on the little screen

http://www.twitch.tv/tekken/v/3990163?t=1h17m44s Vs. Steve

http://www.twitch.tv/tekken/v/3990163?t=1h20m27s Vs. Paul x 2

http://www.twitch.tv/tekken/v/3990163?t=2h10m45s Vs. Kat

http://www.twitch.tv/tekken/v/3990163?t=2h14m05s Vs. Lili x 2

(Not Tyler): http://www.twitch.tv/tekken/v/3990163?t=2h20m25s Vs. Kazuya(mostly experimenting stuff)

(Back to Tyler) http://www.twitch.tv/tekken/v/3990163?t=3h01m50s Vs. Feng x 3 (b+4,3, 4,3, floorbreak, 4,4, S! is just mean and I wonder if more can be done there, seemed like the axis needs some re-adjusting)

http://www.twitch.tv/tekken/v/3990163?t=3h51m25s Testing on Ling

http://www.twitch.tv/tekken/v/3990163?t=3h53m06s Vs. Bryan x 2(Punch parry looks about the same at a glance-ina has no frame changes-basically same ol' same ol?)

...Backswing really is ridiculous now isn't it?

And yeah his damage still makes me smile in this. I mean-stuff isn't fully optimized yet. I love WR2 even more now so much, you either get the follow up game or a stomp depending. (And that's only on NH.) I think I love the +6 b+1+2 as well too and I haven't even used it yet. You aren't kidding about the Forgotten Realm btw.
I should probably make more comments on all of these vids in all the posts. Will try to do that more on other free time.

Also Bopper: Would have to try it perhaps! Haven't seen it done yet. I wonder if I can say 'I have an arcade' if I get an empty cabinet, scribble 'Pit Fighter' on it in marker and take a picture under a neon Budweiser sign wearing a quarter apron and flashing a thumbs up so I can order a T7 cabinet.

Just a note: I'll be adding a Knee stream setup again soon. Been trying to be more selective and picking out ones with cool combos that I hadn't seen yet. I'm hoping there's another Sugamo kumite soon as well.

And here we go. Decided to just post this stream's worth of vids up anyway since i was already in the middle of it.

Knee plays vs. a Dragunov which he actually loses to while playing Claudio. Went the full time so decided to pop it up: http://www.twitch.tv/holyknee/v/4009164?t=3h07m16s Check out the round 2 combo from Drag-CH WR2, WS4, f+1, f+4,4,3, W!, 4,3, FB!, 4,4, WS1+2. I wonder if he could have gotten a stomp in as well, it looked like he could have?

Has a rematch: http://www.twitch.tv/holyknee/v/4009164?t=3h10m53s (Wins this but goes to the full time again)

His Dragunov segment starts here:

Vs. Shaheen x 2(1 win, 1 loss): http://www.twitch.tv/holyknee/v/4009164?t=4h22m37s

Vs. Shaheen x 2 more(1 loss, 1 win) http://www.twitch.tv/holyknee/v/4009164?t=4h33m25s

Vs. King: http://www.twitch.tv/holyknee/v/4009164?t=4h40m47s

(Note: There's a CPU Leo segment in the middle here that's probably worth watching)

Vs. Law x a bunch: http://www.twitch.tv/holyknee/v/4009164?t=4h46m53s

He did about 10 Law battles or so, maybe more. I think I miscounted once as I was going through them. Won far more than he lost.
(As an aside I want to know where Knee gets that little River City Ransom looking Bryan Fury icon.)
Here is a player Peichan playing Dragunov for about 12 minutes. Does some nice combos(including a nasty balcony break at the start. What I love about these is I really feel they aren't optimized yet...)

I think you meant the Feng match, no?

Thanks for putting these together for everyone else to watch BTW!

Actually, we're both right. He did it vs. Feng AND Asuka in Round 3 each time. I think the Asuka one stood out to me a bit more because he did it on the flop-bound recovery. Asuka was on her way to recover, he was coming in with the d/b+3 but cancelled it into the throw.

And it's no problem. I mean they aren't my videos, all I have to do is comb through and snip times. Makes a nice pasttime during more mind-numbing computer work. I do think from here on I will be a little more choosy but for now compiling many will also make combos easier to record.

EDIT: Started pulling some combos off the vids.

http://www.twitch.tv/holyknee/v/4122423?t=9m53s (Knee Stream)

Knee rocking Dragunov for a bunch of matches. Ranks up too(17th-18th dan.) Been awhile since I posted a Knee stream. Lasts til about 55 mins or so. A lot of Claudio fights.

One of that one dude's combo vids from T7. Not really true combos all of them, though I like those balcony breaks.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srz...eature=youtu.be

I want to play him on the Forgotten Realm stage badly.

More combos incoming. When the time comes that they'll need to be properly tested on the home version(in case of any changes), sorted, and recorded, it'll come. For now it'll probably be nice to have a list.

Since I've been quite busy I haven't had too much time to do stuff here, so let me pop in a couple of videos I found(and am in the process of getting some combos from. I did manage to get a few combos recorded at least.)

https://youtu.be/CWVzCs1gzbw Orange vs. Help Me, Dragunov vs. Lars for about 45 minutes. They're pretty much neck and neck with Help Me's Lars taking 9 wins to Orange's 7(I think Dragunov is an alt of Orange IIRC, unless he swapped from Jin, I'm not sure.)

Peichan: https://youtu.be/Nv0D8IVn0MY

His Dragunov isn't too high ranked yet so he's sort of roflstomping people kinda below the station but it's some Dragunov stuff. (It repeats after like 13 mins, so not really much here, just a couple of fun combos mixed in.)

You and me both. I wasn't even looking for that. Like in all of this staring it never even hit me to.

Decided to wake this forum up a bit. Could be some Drag fans that come around and might like to see some activity. I've sadly no access to the game still in Helsinki, the best lab work I can do is in Tag 2 which, well, won't be accurate for T7(totally, of course Drag's core is still there), and on top of it I've been busy as hell the past weeks with everything from RL and other projects(as well as getting involved in a FFXIV guild, where I'm not hardcore or anything but it takes up some time.)

Dug up some more fairly recent(within the last month or so) matches. Here's Qudans vs. Kkokkoma, Devil Jin vs. Dragunov. DvJ gets demoted to Seiryu. Kkokkoma is pretty good at landing those RAs with just enough health left to soak a hit. 17 matches that I counted(I may have missed one because there was some cut off video), but it was Kkokkoma: 11, and Qudans: 6.

The full video

qcf+1, f+4,4,3, b+4,3, f+3~df CDc, d+4,4, f,f+4(note: I don't know if the f,f+4 is guaranteed). Does full 50% without a wall. Happens at around 3.31 or so.
4:45-CH 1,2,1, b+2,1, f+1, b+4,3, W!

9:10: flop-bound recovery, Qudans recovers blocking high, d+3,4 hits home

https://youtu.be/Pt6BFlp-oHA?t=639 nothing special here but I just thought it looked cool. Poor DvJ never knew what hit him
https://youtu.be/Pt6BFlp-oHA?t=680 Nice SW-Launch from Kkokkoma here

12:54-a WS 2 combo that does a fuckload of damage

https://youtu.be/Pt6BFlp-oHA?t=1072 Kind of cool I think-I'm pretty sure that db+3 fakeout is going to be fun to play with(particularly since he nailed the 2nd one he tried.) Follow up was pretty average damage but in this vid you see some huge damage coming from db+3.

https://youtu.be/Pt6BFlp-oHA?t=1085 nothing special at all here but I sort of like b+1+2's +6 coming into play kinda nicely here. Can definitely fuck with people who have no idea and clearly even people who DO have an idea. Can't argue with a 2 hit that goes almost to the end of the lightning bolt(which has been estimated as 38% if I remember that graphic that had the damage numbers compared to the lightning bolt under the bar.)

Kkokkoma I know is one of the better Drag players in Korea(well, JDCR plays him very often as well but he's a sub for him, despite him having a really good one too).

I'll say it again though, Dragunov's damage is ridiculous in this, be it large or small combo. I'm confident he's going to make it to console intact, since he lacks that real injection of bullshit(unless you call 'high damage' bullshit, I don't unless you're like full of one-hit KOs or something silly)some of the other characters have. Besides we have certain characters who shall remain un-named with CH launching lows that are +5 on hit and not particularly bad enough on block.

Unamed character's low should now put him into a position that is no longer well in the opponents favour if he hits with it.

...So long as you can no longer ss~b after it to beat all mid and high attack options, which I assume the extra + frame is to make sure of. If not then the frame lets d/f+2,3 beat jab mashers consistantly, JU can ch i10 (lol), d+2,3 ch hc will be usable against non-crush/backswing blow characters at range 0, precise qcf+3 input out of recovery beats i10, and f+3 will trade with i11 magic 4's. Yay its busted.

Anyway, I think the neatest addition to Drag is the d/b+3 cancel-cancel. That situation in the link is pretty textbook, now only imagine it against a launch punishable ws move. I wonder just how fast it recovers compared to the whiffed grab.

b+1+2 looks like a ghetto wr2 now rofl. dash b+1+2 dash b+1+2. Already one of my favourite moves he has. Keeps his wall pressure brutal with T7 wall game. Standing damage like b+1+2 into jackboot stomp "mini-combos" feel really good to hit, with potential for slow-mo generating much hype. Which Drag has plenty of. Mini combos and hype that is.

I will stand by b+1+2, d+3+4 being the most satisfying mini-combo to hit in that game. Well, for me. Something about the 'Get the fuck down' *boom* 'and stay there' *crunch*. Only it would come out as more '...' '...' ':I' Because, like, Drag and all.

The force behind the animations are really well done. Nice damage again for two hits(especially on CH.) I'd love to see that slow-mo.

And yeah with that db+3 seeable aspect now, I think the cancel will get some mileage. Now that I'm actually seeing it used in real matches it's going to be fun to mess with.
