or dash into, since I played from ttt it always seemed like hei's electric had the better hit box to me but was harder to use because of mobility ..... please help me with this knowledge, thank you.... and if you have ttt, t4, t5, etc hei knowledge I would like to know what was the differences also because its frustrating to see when people use every other mishima simple shit like waving into a ewgf is second nature, but like only a couple of koreans can do it ( wave with hei to ewgf ) and you don't really see americans doing it. JDCR gave me a answer but I would like to hear it from you guys....

for hei's dash ewgf

you have less frames to hold forward (IIRC 4 frames instead of 11 frames)

so you have to do it faster than DJ/Kaz dash ewgf

hei's regular ewgf was like this in TTT

not sure when it was changed to dash ewgf only

i think noodalls has an informative post about this somewhere

I believe in the previous tekken games, since hei had the qcf motion, it sometimes mess up the input instead of fnddf+2 it becomes fnqcf+2 (for me atleast). I usually get this during the ttt days when I try to wave into ewgf but a deathfist comes out. I guess this explanation can be chalked up to wrong inputs..

I also read what mingriah is talking about.. Again in the earlier tekken games, before t6 i think, hei had a "strict" input window for an EWGF than the other mishimas, according to the information before. I believe Noodalls tested that info and iirc, in t6 the input was supposed to be the same for all mishimas..

As for TTT2 I am not sure if it is still the same but in my experience it is a lot easier (for me atleast) to consistently wave into electrics. I am not sure if this is because of my overall experience in playing hei coming into play, or if it is something in the game itself..

btw eddy pistons just joined tz? or is this a new account?

sorry dont know the history hehe

the input window for regular EWGF is now the same for all mishimas i believe

DEWGF however, Hei's got a stricter timing compared to DVJ, Kaz, and prolly Angel

First digit is for release F direction, second digit is for pressing D, third digit is for moving to DF and forth digit is for pressing two

TTT Hei Slowest EWGF
4 21 31 31

T6 Hei Slowest EWGF
11 21 31 31

(
T3 Jin Slowest EWGF
11 21 31 31

TTT Jin Slowest EWGF

T6 DJ Slowest EWGF

DEWGF Hei

f,f on F0, F2.

Can hit d on F32,df+2 on F33 and still get EWGF.

This is the same for DJ.

However,

DJ can hit f on F0, f on F2 then hold D on F32-41, df+2 on F42 and still get DEWGF
Hei cannot. e.g. f on F0, f on F2, then D on F32-33, df+2 on F34 will not give DEWGF.

DJ can do f,N,d,df,f,N,f (one F each, first input F0, last input F6) then d,df+2 on F36,37. So can Hei.

Again though, DJ can hold D on F36-45 and input df+2 on F46, and still get EWGF.
Hei cannot hold D longer than F36.

And just to conclude

Hei
f on F0, N on F1, f on F2, N on F3, d on F4-F5, df+2 on F6 does not give (D)EWGF (gives WGF).

Same command for DJ gives DEWGF.

So presumably, Hei cannot hold D after a dash input, it has to be d(1F)df+2.

Tested, and same goes for WD into EWGF.

Boom, answer!

Concerning Hei's DEWGF, how many frames can it Neutral stay on or does that count as the second forward still?

Edit: I read the thread again and it seems I answered my own question. I guess that means I have 31 frames to hold N.

thank you guys for the responses, because just talking to people and playing hei myself, I wanted to know exactly why his electric didnt work the same way while waving into it or dewgf-isting was not as easy so..... I guess that just means more practice for me now....
