In this two part episode, I speak with up and coming player M.Lawrence about his history of Tekken and how he got into the scene, and his opinions about what has been happening in the fighting game community, in terms of sponsorship and mentality. I agree that using the word "gay" to describe something negative is probably alienating a large demographic from the fighting game community. But even saying, "That sucks!" has a sexual connotation to it. Odd how slang or even mainstream vocabulary often has a sexual undertone.

I lost my interest in EVO when they announced Tekken 6 was not in the lineup. But, they do not usually show Tekken on the stream anyways. Maybe I should be used to Tekken being the game that gets bumped off the lineup by now. EVO runs on 2-D, the 3-D games are just an afterthought that happens first thing in the damn morning after a sleepless night.

I often wondered what Aris' beef with Dr. Pepper and Doritos was all about. It would be interesting to hear his opinion about LI Joe getting a pornography sponsor. Sponsors are good IMO. Tournament entries, travel and hotels do not come free! You might even lose money if you win a tournament.

In regards to Kotaku and the FGC, a recent search for Fighting Game has some pretty positive results. For example, they did cover Clockwork's charity tournament.
