So I have always played Mishima's since the dawn of time. So when Jin changed his moveset in T4 I havent paid him much mind. I braodened my horizons a bit in BR console and played Lars and small doses of Lee and I'm looking to try Jin out again when TTT2 console comes out. What benefits are there to playing him. What sort of changes should i be making in my gameplan going forward. What benefits and disadvantages will I have coming from a pure mishima (and by pure mishima I mean I have pretty much played Kazuya exclusively) background.
Hi!
I too was wondering about any good DVJ-Jin Combos
Right now im using
DVJ EWGF ff+3,1~ff 2 df1+2 TA! JIN b+3~f CDS 1+2 DVJ uf1+2
and
JIN ECD+1 bf+2,1 1~33 TA! DVJ f2,4 JIN ff+2
Im wondering if there is a better alternative for the latter combo where DVJ does the TA!
My wall combo is usually
DVJ b1,2 W! df 1,2 B!JIN bf 212 DVJ df+4,4(spike)/ b+4
Jin 1+2 W! 1,2,3 B! DVJ bf 212 JIN 1+2
Any adjustments or alterations are welcome
with DVJ on point, I'd go EWGF, EWGF, d/f+1+2 TA! Jin b,f+2,3~f, cds1+2; DVJ dash f+3+4_f,f+2_dash EWGF_u/f+1+2_cd3_wr3_etc.
DVJ standard TA! for something that short would be [ ssr, f,f+3,1~ff, d/f+3,2,4 ]
at wall, after TA! Jin b,f+2,1,2; I'd try side stepping or setting up some sort of oki. reduces the amount of damage, but gives better opportunities for other things
That should never be used outside of 10f punishing unless going for a splat (which even then is iffy), but -13? Christ. It wasn't that bad in T6 was it?
But I believe in TTT2 Unlimited, 2,4 is -10f. But it doesn't matter because pros just duck the kick.
@cris4thewin
His strongest W! combos depend on the bound you used.
• W! ws+1,2 B! b,f+2,1,2
• W! 1,2,3 B! CDS+1,2
• W! d/f+4 B! 3,1, 1+2
Best no-bound Wall Combo for Jin is 2, d/b+2,2,3
For smaller opponents, it's 1, d/b+2,2,3
For big opponents, it's ws+2, d/b+2,2,3
For the bears, the best and safest Wall Combo would be 3,1, 1,3,2,1,4.
Jin has this stance(i dunno if i should call it omen.....yet) in TTT2 that allows him to use some of his T3 moves right?
Well EWGF or something looking like an EWGf is one of these and i was wondering if it would be better to use the pseudo-EWGF over CH EWHF(yes i know the stance takes a few frames and you need DVJ as a partner)
Well, it's good to use that pseudo-EWGF because you can pull it off even if you do the command slowly.
But the Omen Stance takes a long time to recover. It's good to use against noobs and scrubs but against pros, not a good idea.
And btw, you can do the Omen Stance even if your partner is Heihachi, not Devil Jin.
About doing it on people of different skill levels. We had a bit of a discussion a while back on possibilities to make it work out on opponents for different setups. While I would do a wall splat / wall splat to a bound Id do 1,3-b ,omen in hopes of tricking the opponent to be hasty and Hit during b+1+2 getting -f and possible followup based on the stun but there's risk of killing yourself by being charged. Corpsethrust talked about doing it mid combo where the danger of doin the omen and having the charge canceled because of contact during omen. Excellent on him, reaction dependant risk yet fun on me. http://youtu.be/Ze3Mr5lQQak
I wrote about a tag 2 app for iPhone. It's stating all mishimas not including Lars (for those who want to try and get technical) when paired can allow Jin the omen stance. Haven't seen it done yet though. Can't wait for September!
