True, let?s just hope the d/b+1 for quickstands post f,f+1+2 air throw still works.
But it?s not only that, u/f+1+2 on smalls, d/b+1, WS+1~VTS 1~VTS f+1,2, B! etc.

Maybe it's just me, or maybe that King player was just ducking after he backrolled, but it looks like the timing to hit d/f+3 as a backroll catch is easier now, like in DR. (He did it after ff+1+2 airthrow, around 2:21 in the Duk/Jinpachi vs. King/Law video)

To me it seems that that King player was ducking immediately after the backroll for some odd reason. I watched it a couple of times now, really looks like that.

It's certainly difficult to tell. You're probably right, but from what I remember catching backrolls in DR when they were facing forward looked very similar to this as well, making it seem like the opponent was ducking when it was actually just recovery from the roll. Obviously there's no way to test it without playing the game, but it's something I'll be looking out a lot for. I really miss being able to easily backroll catch off of everything.

in addition, how fast is that move? it could be really nice after landing a dick jab in someones back after like a tech trap. also i wonder if it tracks to either side. i get my ws+1 shenanigans stepped alot and have to depend on ws+3

i think its strictly off of VTS kind of like VTS f+2. so you couldnt do something like d/b+1 into VTS f+1,2.

i'm liking the ff+1+2 reset theory.

ofdp, back roll catching is still semi easy just have to learn the proper distance. i do see what youre saying though about the pickup, it looked different.

Agree 100%. That's pretty much why I am saying, in BR the distance at which you have to stop your dash for the d/f+3, d/f+1 to connect is stricter than DR. Off of, in this case, a rollback after the ff+1+2 air throw, it seemed like the Marduk player ran all the way up to the King after the roll and still caught him. So the King was either ducking, or the window to catch backroll is less strict again. I am very much hoping for the latter.

I've seen a couple other instances of this in other videos, but with faster moves (like King d/f+2) so it's hard to tell.

No but you should be able to d/b+1 into WS+1, VTS f+1,2 as stated.

d/b+1 into WS+1, VTS 1~ VTS 1~ VTS 1,2 works post u/f+1+2 on smalls, it's just useless in that particualr situation because you can d/b+3,1,1 in BR for more damage.

i was referring to phunnykids post saying that it would be nice if you could do the move after hitting d/b+1 in someones back off of a tech roll.

the juggle situation is looks legit though.

For that it would need to be i13 max, right?

Prolly not very likely, but it would be great if it was that fast.

Interesting. In the first video, about 3:28 in, Jack is tagged out, forcing Eddy to whiff his RLX launcher, and then Marduk is able to fully launch him with d/f+1.
