after having watched the match against Rain I have to say huge respect to Anakin.

I admit I always thought he was kind of a "one hit wonder" but now hes proven himself

I should have asked this some time ago but...

Maxi how often (perhaps on average) do the top koreans play, on a daily/weekly basis, I've been thinking maybe the hours they invest affects whether they can gain enough play time to rank up...

Was there ever a case when someone pulled an all nighter?

Thanks

Different players play different amounts of time, some are at Green almost every day, others only on weekends and some almost never. If a new RPG is released for instance you can instantly tell people are missing.

Knee and Magnetic were playing a deathmatch till 5 am just the other day but normally people don't play all night.

On a sidenote I have to say I think Knee's movement has gone up a notch the last month. The way he was moving in this latest deathmatch was out of control, it'll be really exciting to see him play in RR in three days.

Thanks! I can't believe I actually miscounted the number of names there!

well... i was watching green TV last nite before i went to bed, it seemed they still have trouble against korean veteran mishimas like jdcr, jisammoon ace...(they both were playing DJ and jdcr was winning like 20 streaks in a low..)

green boss put another pad set for Americans but rip was playing with K-stick.

sleeping is nonexistent for me here in korea so i thought id post some updates

nin gave us each a high ranked card so that we could play deathmatches on. here are some results (there may be more than i remember, or possibly a few mistakes):

Rip (LAW)
starting rank: Champion
current rank: Vanquisher (-4)

vs Alisa - L
vs Steve - L
vs Ccer - L

notes
- rip is considering using the Korean stick for tekken crash, as his pad is not working well. I think the lvl of competition really took him by surprise the most.
- rip got to play malgu today as well. Final score 2-17 malgu

Fab (MIG)
starting rank: Fujin
current rank: Champion (-3)

vs Fight Spirit (STE) - L
vs Misty (EDD) - L
vs Disaster (PAU) - L

notes
- He played a 3 hr unfinished DM against Devaju's bryan
- Also considering using Bob for RR, because the +1 life setting is tough for Miguel. What are your thoughts on this?

Anakin (JAC)
starting rank: Sage
current rank: Legend (+1)

vs Gaxini (DRA) - L
vs Gaxini(2) - L
vs Ling Xiaoyu - L
vs Painkiller (KIN) - W
vs Painkiller (2) - W
vs Dioxin (NIN) - W
vs Disaster (PAU) - L
vs Hankuma (ROG) - W
vs JDCR (DEV) - L
vs Rain (LAR) - W
vs HAO (FEN) - L
vs Fight Spirit (STE) - W
vs Fight Spirit (2) - L
vs Narakhof (HEI) - W
vs Chanel (LIL) - W
vs Barcas (STE) - W

notes
- I lost my phone. Fuck.

if anyone has questions for any of us we'd be glad to answer. Ill post more thoughts on the actual players, and my experience when ihave more time and energy

Thanks for the updates man. It's nice to know that you guys are having a good time there and you seem to be doing fairly well against the Koreans. Quick question though, of all the Koreans you've faced so far, who would you say has given you the hardest time? And I'm sorry to hear about your phone.

I really think fab should use bob (maybe even steve...not so sure though) for RR. that's a really good point about +1 being difficult for Miguel. his damage output is just too low and the defense is just too high in Korea for fab to work annoying lows and to correctly guess mid for the payoff. if I remember correctly (I think maxi posted this) that rain stopped using miguel because the players in korea know the miguel matchup too damn well. so unless fab has an ultra unorthodox and patient and highly defensive way of playing miguel, he should make the switch.

It depends on how close his Bob is to his Miguel. We play on +1 here, and it makes it just that much harder for Miguel to create enough pressure through pokes to get people panicked and ducking, so it becomes more likely he will be stepped/ducked and lose the life lead he's worked so hard to gain. Bob on the other hand has the lows to make you feel pressured from the outset, even on +1 because aside from the damage they create KND and +frame pressure.

Personally I think he should stick with Miguel unless his Bob is basically the same level, just so he can show people what he can do with Mig. Who does dasalgi play?

@St. George, Dasalgi is a pretty solid Steve player that played in the same team as Misty and Binchang in this past season.

Someone found Anakin's phone and contacted him on facebook, hopefully he'll get it back now ^^

I hope for God's sake that you're hooking them up with some select first-class luxury Korean female prostitutes Maxi.

Gotta enjoy yourself a little, not just all work and no play.

And I think Rip gotta break out his Paul. Unleash him to Korea.

And Fab -> Leo.

I invited them to go out last night but they're stuck at Green haha, I think they're having too much fun at the arcade right now ^^

It's also good if they prepare as much as possible before RR.

Ehm, I have to ask... what is this "+1 setting"? Is it like, 101/110/xxx % hp or something?

Also, nice work Anakin in those death matches, and thanks Maxi for doing all that you do!
