i made this thread as MOD jurasic said.
so this should help bruce players like me to solve problems against other characters.. and finally come up with strategies to fight them..
personally, i have problems against julia, anna, zafina, bob (damn) and the all time problem edie (christie).. i just hope someone or anyone would post up their stuffs and share us what they do against this characters..
as my contribution..
against steve: i always use ff+2..anticipate his punches always but remember not all his punches can be countered(as far as i know his flicker punches cant be countered). even his sonic fang can be countered but i advice to block it instead then d+4. many of steve's moves eats f+2,4_2,4 after block.. i spam it always!
against law: i dont seem to have problems with law, just anticipate that his quick enough to finish you.. when you know it im sure youll win. his d/f+1 spam is or was my problem rather coz its annoying (look out for his parry) but i've managed through it(knees as far as i know can't be parried)
against asuka: well i dont know if its just my opponents coz she always eats my b+2. just look out for her "attack then ss setups"
against mishimas: well good mishima players as ive encountred them can really push you to the limits of going turtle but i got them(sometimes) to stop for a while when i duckdown.. i anticipate their lows and mids and w8 them to unleash EWGF( they always use this no matter what) then ws21_fcd/f4 and when you advanced and got to wall them be sure to hold them there. i use d+2 then wait coz they already know d+2,ws21_fcd/f4 set ups and im sure they'll use EWGF again.. and also look out for 112(or simply be safe)
well thats all for now, i hope someone would post against julia bob zafina and eddie and ofcourse to all of them..

b+2!!! very effective
agreed. b+2 against chreddy is very effective, especially if they use d/b+1+2 (double arm slinger) in their routine - it is a launcher that avoids most high and mid moves. but if u imput b+2, it becomes a CH juggle for you.
(this is as i recall from DR but i am quite certain it is still the same)

Just watch out for rlx setups.
well, eddie knows that..so he doesnt do that to bruce now a days,
a gathered info against zafina:
as zafina is always low like position(tarantula) u can jump to her back and start F***ing her!(just kidding) well i just done it, jumping from her back while she's on tarantula. even her crouching low pokes can be jumped over.

wat do u do when jump over her?
n wat moves hit while zafina is in tarantula?
simple dude, i do d+1, u/f3 for a sure hit..but then its way to simple so i just wait for their next move then launch with uf/4(i dont use d/f2 coz sometimes they can block)
d+2_u/f1+2_b434 and sometimes d/f3+4 can hit her tarantula pose.. d+2 is my best move against it but btw sometimes i dont know why it doesnt connect

any tips against julia?
well.. after her ff+1, duck(but try to anticipate mids) coz all she can give you is CH high's. (very effective) and when you got big spaces between, duck again(coz she'll try to be close to you but to do that, she uses high moves again. (trust me,but then again anticipate her mid kick) and when she got closed to you and you where on guard do not use d+1 or u/f4 coz itll be a juggle starter for her. also when she blocks low or ducking anticipate her FCd/f3,4
and look out for mad axe set ups.. a good friend told me that.hehe

yeah my concern is her mad axes set ups and those 44 set ups of hers.
where can i poke, crash, parry and what to look out for?

i usually "dont" poke julia aftr any moves she does. i just standby and wait my turn or parry her lows. coz i also look out for her NC/NCc moves(bad). and as ive said, duck down after her 1st attack! but anticipate also. mad axe can be techroll3(not techroll1) after it hits i think.
tade
well law's d/f1 is annoying coz when it hits he can continue it as 10string combos. all i do is visualize law when he d/f1 or 1,2 or launcher d/f2.. all those punches can be countered!(ff2) i think. maybe ill post up some of my vids this week or next.
lei's d/1 also annoys me!lols i ussually set them up to block all those d/f1 spamming then backdash early coz he might unleash d/b44(low)
ff+2 if you klnow its propertis really help bruce when opponents love to jab or in your case spamming d/f1..
its pretty late right now so i'm not going to get into a julia discussion just yet but ducking against julia is not a smart move. EVEN after you blocked elbow.

To be Continued.
yeah so i said "anticipate". all i've said is all bout my exp against julia players..actually 2. and that what i do mostly really helped. but then again they change their strats so i ssR ater their attacks but not that really helpful coz some julia moves are tracking left n right.
thank you for "helping" us out here stridajin. (i requested your help long tme ago but yet you didnt replied)

well i had the same problem, but i managed somehow.. when nina keeps on spamming d/f+1(2)..your options would be,ssL_swL. also, i just backdash then d+4. sometimes i use u+4 and they often eat it and get launched.. also, try to familliarize her lows, as its just numbered(few). and if your timing is great you can also feed her your ff+2 against her d/f+1.
be alert though, coz when backdashing, you may eat nina's f+1+2(exploding palm i think) and sometimes they just continue d/f+1 into d/f+1,2,1,1+2..

the scenario: bruce VS Steve
bruce did f+2,3.. the "3" hits steve, then bruce did d+3 as follow up.. against steve's follow up of b+1(11 frames).. bruce successfully hits d+3 (w/c has 21(?) frames) against b+1(w/c has 11 frames..) does this mean if d+3 hits, gives you many + frames?? the scenario happens really fast that i dont know if steve just didnt reacted fast enough..
First of all, i thought you said to me that you are a mod in here (bruce thread)?
Steve's b+1 is 13f not 11f and base on the scenario that you said, maybe bruce's
d+3 is a high crush move?
but not so sure coz not all low attacks are high crush move (such as drag's d+4,1).
BTW, what is the frame of d+3 to execute? and what is the frame advantage of f+2,3
on hit? +3 or 4?
Agaisnt the low poke bitchy Nina, just try to foresee her pattern of attack, try to anticipate low attacks (uf+4,3... d+4,1 , d+4,3 , d+1 , d+1,4) and low parry it.
punish her d+3,2 with df+2 i guess?
her b+1 with f+2,4 or maybe df+2 also? not so sure coz i dont know the frames of those moves.
but watch for her b+1 coz that shits has auto SS properties and crumples you on clean hit.
constant use of bruce's d+4 and df+4 and df+2 for mix ups.

r u sure? 13f? i thought it has 11? coz i ate all your b+1, when i hit you with d+4,then you fightback with b+1 as i follow up with 33 w/c has 13f..then disaster strikes.. well i'll confirm this for a while..
last week i played at SM North Edsa, Qeuzon City, Philippines, Asia, Earth, Milky Way, Galaxy, Universe. I always beaten everyone who will challenge me but this Bob always defeated me and put my scores to none but I can defeat all the players that can defeat that fat guy. Bob has lot of string moves and i dont know if it will hit low, mid or high so im guessing where to block. im really annoyed at his belly attack, it always hit me. I dont know how did everybody win over that Bob player but me, I can't. Please, for god's sake post a strategy against that fat guy or else I will be the to do the Ti Sok Ran and Slice Kick on that player...hahaha...hahaha..time to go to jail..

SMN k pre? hehe well, im also annoyed to bob coz damn he's so quick for a fat slow-like moving character and WTF he's doin jumps and quick kicks.. not only that he posse like jin!
my only tip against bob is that don't be aggressive.. instead be defensive(yung tipong abangers k nlng) hehe and 1 thing more, familliarize the way he plays..he's moves (yung bitin moves)
currently, im also experimenting against bob, if i found out something new against him i'll post it up bro..
no im not SMN, but i've fought some of them, nakakapaglaro ka rin ba sa SM North? A while ago i played again and encountered this japanese boy who uses bob and so i challenge him immediately. He is an advance bob player. Ofcourse I ate lot of combos but I have motive, and that is to see how bob moves and execute his combo. I noticed that most but not all bob string combos (not the ten string combo) end in low strikes so I try to parry some but like what i said he is an advance bob player so he end some string to mid strikes. b+2 and 4 is very effective to bob (or only for me) because i have done it several times to him but I admit that I still lose to that japanese boy.
