Yeah, I really want to see Paul in action now. I need to know more about his new moves, and if they upped th damage on DF to compensate for the no pushback.

he already has a d+4 mix up from the qcf motion. isn't taking 40% of your opponent's life bar on a clean hit enough? not to mention the mix up that Paul can do?
DF wasn't broken in the first place. Being -17 means a lot of punishment and can be sidesteped. Second, block demo man and everybody in the cast rapes him for free not to mention T6 DF will be raped by launchers. So upping the DF damage, not too much but enough to justify the high risk/ high reward proportion.
Blocking either of both in t6 will be nasty punishment.
DF is pretty average against most of the cast, but against character's like Law who usually only gets poke damage(b+2 IIRC)or Xiaoyu who usually only gets nothing the DF is pretty good.
If his new d/f+3,4 and/or b+1+2 turn out the be good mids then that alone will justify the weakening of DF. Paul needs a solid safe mid more than anything.

Sure, we don't know how good these new moves are but I'd hate to see Paul signiture move passed up in favour of a new option. Paul's main weapon is DF, it's what he's known for and has always been his trademark. I for one would lie to see it stay at it's current level. Bottom line, if you're going to make a solid move more dangerous, then it should have a pay off for the increased danger.
there are plenty of other moves in the game that are better than Df and are safer as hell. Hei's ff+2 for one.
As for Ling not getting anything for free after blocking DF? Landing a DF on ling is near impossible, it goes right over her in AOP and doesn't track for sht.
Df is a good move but not over powered. Making it heavily punishable by everyone means it'll only ever get used as a whiff punisher.
I want Tekke Tag Tournament style Infinate Kicks back for Lee Chaolan in T6. I just got done playing TTT for the first time in like 3 years and now I remember why TTT Lee>ALL other Lees.
Namco I demand the return of TTT IK! Lee desperatly needs this move and it will solve all his WS problem!
Screw this WS+23, we don't need it, we just need TTT IK. Come on Infinate Kicks are worthless right now, only the first two hits are guaranteed and they do wehat 23 damage and your at -frames. Gives us back good Old TTT IK.
It's only right. You've given Lee a bunch of stuff right now that he doesn't really need. Do Lee players a favor and bring back TTT IK. Hell take away the knee, Miststep, 211, d/b+4, d+3, ff+3, and all these new moves. I don't care. Give me Tekken Tag Infinate Kicks, the old ff+3, and bring back FC D/f+4 221(Silver Demon Fist) and me and the rest of the Lee players will be peachy.
Ok so if anyone can get ahold of the Namco reps at testing, tell them, Lee should get TTT IK back. Tell them to at least add it in and see the response. I don't think anyone is going to go OMG Lee's broken cause he got TTT IK back.

zero, how is ttt lee better than T4 lee.
Tag lee has nothing on T4 lee. If lee had ss2~fn124:4 and fn3,4 he would own so hard.
Too true. I think a good move that Lee should have gotten would be WS 4,3. They could have reanimated the Soviet Kicks to be starting with the right foot, and then keep all the other properties the same. This would have been perfect.

PS: Why the fuck do you guys was Kosack Kicks back? They were GARBAGE. They had one purpose and that was Oki. Other than that they were the stupidest move in the world you could use. -16 on block! Hello, Shredders is -13. Why the fuck would you want a crappy version of Shredders? Plus they looked gay as well. Am I the only one who sees Lee do Kosack Kicks with his fruity purple hair and go "uhhh....GAY". Please, cause T4 Lee is my least favorite Lee for many many reasons and that's just one of them.
Edit:
Ok ok ok. This thread is about, T6 updates and what not. Alright. Now I posted this and I don't want to regret it by taking this thread in a direction NOT related to T6. I just answered a question directed towards me. I don't want this page full of rebudles and what not.
Case and point I want to see TTT IK back. I think it solves a big problem Lee has had recently and I think any Lee player against bringing them back is a big nutty since it's such a great yet not overpowered move.
Ok so please, remember, not here to talk about TTT vs. T4 Lee and what not, this is a T6 discussion thread, lets keep it to T6. In fact maybe I'll just send that to hamster through a PM. Yeah I think I'll do that.
ON TOPIC- does anyone know when tz is gonna update thier t6 page, someone said very soon, its been a while. tekken official already has hei, kaz, yoshi, leo, zafina, and miguel's profiles on there. where are they on here??

at this point, change for Paul is very good. in every new tekken, he's [one of] the least changed character[s] on the roster. any tweaks he gets seem to be something to add to his 50/50 game and little to nothing is done for the rest of his game ie. pokes, throws, evasion, new moves unique and impacting enough to play him noticeably different from past tekkens, etc.
as far as modifying his 50/50 [crouchdash] game, i'm certainly not complaining.
QuoteBottom line, if you're going to make a solid move more dangerous, then it should have a pay off for the increased danger.
giving him qcf+3 (aka chetness by namco) is an awesome addition. as long as it has poke speed, is not launch punishable, and has an animation dissimilar to anything in his current movelist, then there's your payoff. [if the most had only the first two, that'd be perfectly fine with me.]
just because one move is given added risk in one aspect does not mean added reward in another aspect needs to be given back to that same move. qcf3 is a low that comes directly out of his cd so it's added reward to the cd 50/50 mixup deathfist is part of. they essentially compensated the added risk of no deathfist pushback by adding qcf3.
his 50/50 is enhanced, for lack of a better word, because out of crouch dash he has fast mid/low option (qcf2 or qc3) and a slow mid/low option (delayed deathfist/cd~iws2 or cd into demoman). each of these 4 options out of crouchdash is definitely something to fear because of the mid/low mixup and the slow/fast mixup, making the psychological game deeper.
Good point chett. Paul is in need of a some changes. While at the same time his core gameplay style probally wont be changed too much.
Im just wondering about more specific properties of his old move changes and new moves. I wish we had some footage of him but Im great-full and satisfied with the info we received.
For instance like chett said how punishable, fast, what kind of animation does qcf+3 have. I also find it interesting that they changed b+2. I liked this move. I wonder how they changed it to make it better (hopefully). Also with the general system changes, will we see a re-emergence of a more T4 style Paul. We'll see.
All in all if qcf+3 is a decent, high crushing, safe low. Namco was listening. Can't wait to hear more info/see footage of Paul.

Latest update says the console version of T6 wont be out until after SCIV comes out. I assume they want to make sher the arcade version has a good life and also give SCIV its own time to shine instead of releasing both games near the same time on PS3. This is good news for the arcade community. It could also be good news for the PS3 version because of the extra development time to make sure its a great port.

I am hopeful/grateful that it could mean good things for the PS3 version, but it still makes very sad considering how much more I'm looking forward to this game than SC4.
I'm pretty sure we'll have Kunimitsu back in Tekken 6 mainly because of Yoshimitsu being remade... I hope to see Boskonovitch in Tekken 6 completelly remaked. I was my favorite character in Tekken 3 (because he's the worst player and the harder character to domain also).
Right now I think Zafina is the best new character and Leo the new crap...
