So I've been working on this for awhile now, but I've decided to officially release it out now. I know there's still a bug with the leaderboard not showing randomly, but it still works and its taking up too much time.

Oh yeah, so what is it? Its a flash program I put together with video capture to train people how to break throws based on the initial hand animations.

Take a look, enjoy, leave comments, send me some donations if you like it or want me to improve it more etc.

-FIXED 1+2 grabs with RE-DONE input checking. No more buffering.
-Added KEY SETTING to OPTIONS. Now you can select which keys you want to use (mainly for laptop users)

(selecting Mokujin just cycles randomly between Jack/Ling/Paul)

-Adjusted timing windows before grabs come out
(shouldn't be any predictable grabs based on the time before they come out)

-Stat tracking is per game mode
(so stats/hi scores for Ling/Paul/Jack/Random are all stored seperately)

-Added a loader so it can load fully on slower connections
(should fix errors where people are dead before they begin)

-Game and Training mode will pause when stats are displayed ('S')

edit: for some reason i can't do the 1+2 breaks that well even if i know i got it.

also comparing it to the psp version that i've practice on a bit. the throw break window seems smaller.

Yeah, for the 1+2 grabs I had to do it in a round about kind of way.. basically if you're having issues with it then just hold in the 1+2 once you press it and you should be okay. It doesnt help that keyboard buttons aren't as sensitive as Sanwa buttons..

The break windows should be smaller too. Makes you get better

i can break 66.6666666% of throw by spamming 2~1 or 1~2.

2~1 breaks all 2, 1+2 throws while 1~2 breaks 1 and 1+2 throws. Is this the same for console?? I dont have a ps2.

i'll donate 10 dollars if you take out the green or red screen thing. really annoying. 20 if you implement more characters and have it display what we pressed.

lol, better than buying a psp ^^

edit: i think the way the flash looks messes me up. sometimes i don't even press anything and just stare at it.

hamstar: yeah, correct.

on console you can break 2+4 only with 2.
but you can break 1+3 with 1 or 1+2.

the reason is that the system always registers the 1 before the 2 even if you press both simultaneously. same with 3+4.
if there is a move input which requires a 2 you can do it with 1+2 as well. for instance: djs b,f+2,1,2 can be done inputing b,f+1+2,1+2,1+2. there is no other possibility in djs moveset than b,f+2 so it works with 1+2. thereafter the system registers the 1 in 1+2 first which is correct for this move and thereafter the only possible input is 2 so it works with 1+2 again.

Its a trainer made in Flash so it isn't 100.0000000% perfect. If anyone knows a better way to handle simultaneous inputs in Flash though I'm all ears so PM me. Breaking the 1+2's that way is NOT possible on consoles as far as I know. I do have some code checking added on to cut down on the accuracy of spamming 2~1 or 1~2 for 1+2 grabs too btw. But you're only cheating yourself if you want to keep doing it like that.

Without the green or red screen how would you know if you got it right or wrong?
Making it display what you pressed.. possible..

Also, more characters = unlikely. Its a ton of work (did you know that DR doesnt start you off in the exact same position of every round depending on the intro animation of each character?! stupid!) + bandwidth usage would skyrocket. Most people have asked me for small arm characters like Ling or something though. Thats something I could do.

maybe you can just make what the correct input is in red or green instead of the whole screen. i also like that it doesn't have the full throw animation if you don't break it. i saw on the blog that you wanted to include it. please don't

i like it. window is TIGHT!!!! but thats a good thing, it will force you to react even faster to the animation.

1+2 is also a little sketchy but no big deal.
