its about competing..
if all the games where coming out for all concoles..
PS3 $500-$600
xbox 360 $300-$400
WII $250
now what would everyone buy?? huh WII or a 360 because its cheaper!
people bought a ps3 not for just the look of it.. theres games coming out and people want them so they go out of there way to buy it...
I hate to break it to you, but people don't buy PS3 for Tekken. They buy Tekken when they own a PS3.
Also, just a newsflash, but the days of the console exclusive 3rd party title are dying. The future, and this generation, is heavily dependant on 1st party development, and in that respect, I'd say it's close all 3 ways. The Wii, however, has absolutely terrible 3rd party support.
tha_con, of course people don't ps3 only for just tekken.. I did.. and some other things, but for the fact people buy it for the titles that are not coming out to any other concoles.
If Tekken 6 comes out for xbox360, this site will be transformed into a giant gaping vagina flowing with fanboy anger. I will then sit in my ivory virtua tower and laugh mercilessly at all of your tears.
I love my PS3, I use it all the time... not too much for PS3 games besides DR at the momment, but I have a ton of Blu-ray movies which are awesome! I love the layout of it, since I love my PSP .

Kuri - You should pick up VF5.
Once I find a good USB PS2 converter, I most likely will purchase VF5. I’ve seen it several times at many shops in the area, and the more I see it the more impressive it looks. The only thing stopping me from purchasing it is the fact that I can’t play any fighter on a game pad. No matter how hard I try I just can’t hit the diagonals I’m well aware of the new PS3 joysticks, but I have intentions of spending $75 for new joysticks when the ones I own are broken. My old Namco sticks (NPC-102) I purchased back in 1996 still work as well as they did back in the day

Hey! I have a PS2 coverter that I used for my PC. It's a USB, and instead of pluging it into a PC and using it on PS3. Think it will work?

I was trying to save myself a few yen buy purchasing a cheaper model, Sanwa’s JY-PSUAD11 (1,080 yen)—it didn’t work with joysticks The buttons worked fine, but for some reason joystick inputs don’t register
Watch Impress ran a few tests on two PC USB converters, Elecom’s JC-PS201USV series (1,890 yen) and Sanwa Supplies JY-PSUAD1 (2,919 yen) converters, and these two did yield some success on the PS3—their tests were conducted with only two joysticks though: Fighter’s Stick 2, and Real Arcade Pro…I have Namco’s NPC-102 sticks from 1996…
Elecom’s worked the best with both controllers although they felt there was some lag. Sanwa’s worked, but every now and then, they did experience some problems.
As my joysticks aren’t broken—they work just as well as they did when I bought them—I don’t want to replace them nor do I want to spend $75 buying a new set of joysticks.
The next time you head down to your local PC shop, write down the ID name/number of your joystick(s) and check the backs of all the USB PS2 converter cards; who knows, you just might find your joystick listed
Mine might be a bit too old, as I’ve had no luck as yet.
Where do some people get the idea Tekken 6 might come to the Xbox360....? Because of VF5...? (sigh)............I'mma just wait and laugh at this when the time come................
Tekken better not be on 360. Tekken is an icon for Playstation. Its like sharing Halo with PS3. They better not share cause Tekken is one of the main reasons to own a PS3.

huh thats because VF series was not as good as Tekken... so you have to understand..
Tekken>VF,GTA,Resident evil(sell outs)<-- and Im sure there going to be making more money.. I mean look at gamecube.. lmao.. Resident evil went over.. let me ask you a question... why would HALO 3 go to SONY as well??? well thats the heart of xbox, & xbox 360... its not always about money... well yeah it is.. but its also about PRIDE!! and where is the comp going to when all the games are just beING hookers and going to every system..
sony>360
I will give the 360 the benifit of the doubt.. I love my 360 for Rainbow Six Vegas, Gears of War, shit, Im pumped for halo 3...
ps3 going 1,000.. save up money... or by it from over seas... what because you can't afford it and you have to get 360 for tekken...lmao NOOOOOO!
and I don't know about you but ALOT of people like to use controllers.. and there are no sticks that are worth buying for 360 well the DOA stick, and I think thats the only one out.. I also believe.. the point is.. don't think 360 is going to be your outlite for not having a PS3..
I can see it now happening at a tourney.. I don't want to play on Ps3 on what to play on the 360..
remember MVC2.. rocks on DreamCast... shitty on Ps2 & xbox..
OuT-JaCkED!
First Tekken isnt better than VF they are equally complex and respected in different ways for different reasons.
Second Sony doesnt own namco or Tekken, Microsoft OWNS the company that makes halo which is why it wont ever go multi plat. The fact that Tekken games are always built on overclocked sony boards is tru, but then again the Sega board for VF5 is also the same as a ps3 for the most part with more internal ram. so the possiblity of Tekken going to 360 is up to namco and no one else
as much as a i hope and prey i dont really see tekken going online yet. but since its not going online the interest isnt the same for Xbox fanboys cause they are always gonna stick with Shitty DOA cause it is "online" which is why VF5 will come out for 360 and wont sell very well, and will be the last time sega puts their flagship fighter on a shitty american system built from the ground up with FPS in mind..
wii and xbox fanboys love to kid themselves when it comes to exclusivity. True, exclusivity is not as prominent as it was last gen but as long as business and competition exists it will forever remain an element of console gaming. We won't ever see a Mario game on PS3 or Xbox (unless you're clever ) Halo on anything else besides an Xbox or PC, and games like Gran Turismo on a Wii or 360.
Just because some franchises go mulit, doesn't mean they all will. They may want to, but as long as the big 3 are separate competing business entities exclusivity will exist indefinitely...
I don't see Tekken going multi home console. Like Gran Turismo, its a franchise born on the 'Station and will most likely stay there; to think otherwise would be a deluded fantasy of self assurance meant to justify an investment in only one particular console.

If it weren’t for Sony, I don’t think Tekken would have even existed. If I’m not mistaken, Sony invested/helped develop the first Tekken—I don’t know about now days, but I could have sworn I read a lot of “thank you” messages aimed at Sony during the rolling credits of the first game, but that was so long ago…I could be wrong.

Just played Tekken 1, it DOES say a special thanks to Sony.

What a kind of a thanks you mean this thanks}Namco: We´ve been royal since the first day sony, and we will keep it for ever!
But anyway it wouldn´t come by following reasons:
1.Think about the 9GB VS 50GB!
And also that will make the graphics look 6 times more worse, than the Playstation 3 version.
2. The Xbox 360 D-Pad doesn´t look this good, and Namco aren´t familiar with this pad,and the moves will sadly suck.
3. The most of the people will be by the end of the most end owning a Playstation 3 like it was with the Playstation 2,so Namco would not do this.
4. There will be less modes, good graphics etc, that means it will fail like the VF5 Xbox 360 version will, because there were somethings they couldn´t do on the Xbox 360 like they could on the Playstation 3,and the final thing i will say is,that Namco have a contract so the game will stay on the PS Amen!
But there are also other reasons the guys here for sure can explain for the Xbox 360 fans

No argument about the D-Pad not being on par with the PS3's, but WTF at "the moves will sadly suck".

Tekken 6 will be released simultaneously with the PS3 and 360. But a week before its release, it will be a download on the Wii Virtual Console for 15 pts. It will also have vastly improved visuals and ten extra characters.

To end all Tekken 6 on 360 discussion:
Read all the information on T6 on IGN, Tekken 6 arcade will be completely based on the PS3's Cell motherboard.... the game was designed for PS3 only..
True T6 arcade board will be similar to PS3 hardware, but VF5 arcade board wasn't PS3 based. While I think NAMCO may never give Tekken to American corporation like Microsoft. I do see that the slow PS3 sales, and high development cost can contribute to NAMCO porting the game over the 360.
I don't think PSP would handle T6. Sure T6 may not have satisfactory graphics by some people's standards. Fact is the fight arenas seem much larger than previous Tekkens. This is obviously attributed to PS3's almost unlimited processing power, and RAM compared to the PS2, and the arcade boards that were based on it.

it should be ps3, i doubt it going to be in 360 because they have to change the whole fighting style..... and ps3 still remain faithful to the SONY system
Playstation is the original home of tekken but sony needs to do something to improve their standings in the console wars. As much I hate to admit it , There's a slight chance T6 would go multiplatform if things don't improve for Sony, even transfer to the 360. I hope the EU launch helps......
