Any crazy Tekken fan should've heard right about now that Hollywood is planning on bringing this greatest of great fighting game to the silver screen. A lot of people have mixed opinions on it, including myself. I'm one of the people who DO NOT want to see an on-screen adaptation of this great game, for fear of it being murdered...
but once the movie is released, i;m sure i'll be shrieking all the way to the theater...
So why did I post this? 'Coz today, i'll be showing you some edited pics of potential actors/actresses to play the different roles. Rumor has it that the movie will start in T2. I hope so.
So far, these are the ones I edited. If you can provide more, post it here and I'll post it in my sight to credit you.
and yeah, it took me a while to edit these...you may have to get ready for a few laughs
I remember putting Jean Reno for Heihachi because they shared that big nose and gruff appearance. Then I see you put Takeshi Kaneshiro for Jin. Wouldn't that be an coincidence. Jean and Takeshi are paired up yet again!
A stretch? Not as much as a stretch as Hulk Hogan being Hei, as mentioned on your site!
BTW, don't forget about Bolo Yeung for Feng Wei!

By the way, I liked how you edited the pics for some characters. You have good skills editing those thing.
I'm also not sure if I want to see a movie with real people, these kind of movies always suck. I'd like more an CG movie, like Square's Final fantasy movies.
But I'm pretty sure I going to watch it anyways

yeah, i so totally agree! they should really make a CG movie like advent children. namco's got the skills! it's really hard finding people to nail the characters.
editing...yeah...heheh...i get bored nowadays. i'm done with my months load of work so im relaxin w/ my pc.
russel crowe? i think he looks a little too soft to be paul phoenix. i cant see him as the action type of guy but if you can provide me an angry pic of him or something, please do.
and was that mark damascus?! when i saw him, i was like, WHOA! you're right. he could play kazuya. thanks for that! i'll try to edit it but if i can't, i'll post it and credit you. thanks again!

Takeshi Kaneshiro is too skinny for Jin. Ive seen him shirtless in one of his chinese films and he has the body of a Jew from a German concentration camp. Good job on the editing though. Hehe!!!

Sure, girl, no problem
Mark is a very good martial artist and a good lookin man
And when I saw Kazuya in Tekken 2 I was like "OMG! Is Mark Dacascos !"
We can only hope that a Tekken live action movie will be as good as the Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat movies....
Really, what was the last good US fighting movie? And why are they getting well-known screenwriters to ink this script? Come on, that's an indicator that this movie will stink because they don't know jack about fighting games. I'm already happy that the Dragonball live action movie has been kicked out the door. Now if the Tekken movie was made in Hong Kong, then it'd probably be great, but let's not kid ourselves.
I am sorry if I'm coming off really negative, but we really should be against this as opposed to looking forward to this, because we all know once it is made, we're going to just bash the heck out of it on here because of how bad it will be.
QuoteNina - Peta Wilson from La Femme Nikita. But then again, we can just get any gorgeous blond model.
I'm not opposed to Nicole but Peta would be better. She's already acted like an asassin-something in LFN so she would know more. Still Nicole might be perfect too. I havent seen many Nicole movies so.....

A CG movie would be awesome. I loved Final Fantasy: Spirits Within.
Plus thanks to that Tekken trailer shown at E3, Im pretty sure the movie would be great to drool at [at least] with those kind of graphics *drools*
Ken Watanabe would look great as Heihachi if they put the exact hairdo on him
Lastly I agree! *nods* Wesley Snipes is PERFECT as Raven. He already looks like him,
SH**!!!! FU**!!! CRAP! HOLY HELL!!! SHE IS SO FREAKIN' RIGHT FOR THE ROLE!!!! I've been looking everywhere for her name and her pictures!!! Thanks! I'll edit this one and make sure to credit you for it! Oh man! I just LOOOOVED her in Ring-O!!! It's such a tear-jerker and at the same time, Gothic! Oh, to those who havent watched, I recommend Ring-O. This girl's a great actress!!!
QuoteGwendy : San ka naglalaro?
Tiga-Mindanao kasi ako. Naglalaro ako sa local PS2 game center sa 'men. ONLY 15 pesos per hour!!! Kaya, laro hanggang sawa!!!

The DBZ Live action flick isn't gonna come true? Bummer. I was waiting for that. Anyway, I totally agree with you. When news of a Tekken Live Action Movie came out, I was like totally against it (and still a bit am) but like any crazy Tekken fan, I got swept up by the excitement. Let's just hope the movie won't suck...too much. Hehehe. You know what I mean. Oh, the movie is said to be shot in America and Japan.
And damn! They SHOULD make a 3d movie!!! They;re doing that for KOF now!!! GRRRRR!!!!
Oh, this one isn't edited much, but it's a new pic of Zhang Ziyi. She's so pretty, I'm jealous! LOL!
well, I just found the 'plot outline' for the film, and if it's any indicator, this movie is going to stink big time. Yep, the writers definitely just watched their kid play it a couple times and that's it.
"Based on the #1 selling video game, "Tekken" is a high-octane action movie about a young man who discovers he holds a great power and must battle a team of elite fighters who will stop at nothing in order to get it from him"

I wonder what game they were playing.
actually, it's those crappy people WHO WROTE THE ARTICLE in the website you who wrote at. THEY don't know CRAP about Tekken but Charless Stone III, director/writer (along with Michael Colleary*tomb raider* and Mike Werb *face off*) know Tekken. This is in his first interview:
"'It will not be anything like Mortal Kombat or any of the Lara Croft movies. You will get the feeling of Bruce Lee's Enter The Dragon. I want the audience to get to know the characters, so when they have to battle each other it will be more dramatic." '
"There are two versions of the possible storyline."
"Version 1 - A worldwide martial arts tournament is nearing its final, with a large purse of prize money going to the fighter who can defeat Heihachi Mishima in the final round of the competition. The contest is sponsored by the giant financial group, the Mishima Zaibatsu. There are eight fighters that remain after winning death matches all over the world. The winner of the tournament will receive The King of the Iron Fists title. Who will be the one to defeat Heihachi Mishima and take home the prize money and fame? Will it be you?"
"Version 2 - Towards the end of the 20th century, a mysterious challenge went out to all who were deserving. No one knows from where it originated, but its draw was irresistible. The promise of power and riches beyond those attainable by the common man all to go to the survivor. From the depths of the lower earth to the far reaches of the outlands the call escaped no one. Many perished during the mortal street fights that were only a preview of the challenges that were to come. Only 8 remain, those with the true killer instinct, all ready to die, to gain the title of 'TEKKEN', 'Lord of the Rave War.'"
