Hey! New to this forum, I basically just came her to look around, check out all the other Tekken 4 fans. But now I have a major vandetta I need help with if you guys don't mind lending your opinions.

I've trained with Christie ever since I got Tekken 4. Not another character for me! So as you may know, I'd like to become an extremely great fighter with her.

So I've put in some high scores. Scores that not even I can beat, no matter how hard I try. But are they really that good? I have no one else around to show them off to, and no matter how hard I train, I just can't seem to beat my old scores.

So for all you Capoeira Masters out there, look at these top ranks for me and tell me what you think.

Survivor- 12 wins
Time attack- 3:34:58
Tekken Force- (I'm not worried about this score because I can't even beat Tekken Forse yet.)
Training Mode- 2:24:00

I mean, do I just suck with Christie? Or are these scores good for somebody who uses her? (remember, she's the slowest character in the game)

If you can cast your opinions, maybe it will make me train harder (or relax alittle).

Thanx!!

i'm not going to say i'm anywhere near a "master" but i have never touched time attack, survivor, or training mode.

they just don't do anything to show skill.

If you think that those scores count for anything, then you are down in a way bigger hole than you think, and i dont know if you can be saved.

And since this forum is so boring, try to name the tune i stole the line from (not word by word tho), OR someone try to followup the strats i posted like a month ago.

So are you saying that putting in high scores period are worthless? Or that the scores I have are really crappy? Give me some details.

About your Scores: I played this stuff soo long ago - somewhere in the first weeks I tarted with her. Sirvive I have at 18, Tima attack somewhere around 2 mins and training at 29 sec... But it sayes nothink abutn your real skills - play christie against CPu is somethin VERY diffrent from the real fight against someone...

Yeah I see what your saying. I'm still thinking I pretty much suck with Christie.

No matter how hard I train I still seem to get nowhere in my high scores, but like you said, those don't matter when it comes to real skills, but still, I'd like to have SOMETHING to show for all my effort.

look, just don't bother with those modes of play. practic, practice, practice. If you don't have another person who plays tekken around, just put together combos. Read a christy faq, I'm sure they can give you some ideas. Here, this is my favorite:

f+4, 3~4, n, 1, 4, 4, 3+4, d+3

90+ damage

Hard to perform this on only a little skilled player...

Strictly a whiff punisher, really.

Sometimes, when time moves really slowly, I can f+4~b on reaction to it being blocked, which is less of a death sentence than completing slippery kicks. Many times, people don't catch on that the slipperies aren't coming for a sec., then try to retaliate and catch windmill kicks.

But, yeah, not that great. ch b+4 d+3+4 1,4,4,3+4 happens a lot more often.

Well it's been almost a year I guess since I was last at this forum. And I've become much better with Christie since then. Check out the difference!

Old Stats-

Survivor- 12 wins
Time attack- 3:34:58
Tekken Force- (I'm not worried about this score because I can't even beat Tekken Force yet.)
Training Mode- 2:24:00

New Stats-

Survivor- 23 wins
Time Attack- 02:58:48
Tekken Force- (completed) 468,482
Training Mode 01:02:31

I'm still training though, I must destroy all button smashers. I got my Christie Card in my pocket and the other is.... on my joystick.

Your scores have been improving and that's a good thing..

But, IMO....what really matters is actually, how good you are at facing other human players.....

The difference between versing a CPU and human is different probably very, very different.....

I personally don't spend much time, at time attack and Survival modes...'Coz, I'm just too lazy to do it....

Oh well, if you do have many competitive local players, in your area....then I suggest you to often play with them..

I play with ALOT of people now a days since Tekken 5 came out. While I am pretty good over all, theres still trouble with people who just litterally distroy everything in their path, I mean hittting you constantly, juggles and jabs over and over.

I hate these types of players, no special moves, no grapples, just smashing. All I have to say is if this is what it takes to win a Tournement, then I'll pass on entering in the first place. I like to use style and even some class for god's sake. >_<

But I'll never give up on Capoeria. ^_^

I just keep on training. My record for T5 is 108-48. I can't be TOO bad at Tekken can I? lol

>_<

Tekken 4, I still train with, though I fight very few people. I set T4 up at work so people who shop can play it.

Shouldn't you post this in a Tekken 5 thread?
